Came for the four row, but that IH loadstar stole my heart. Feels like I'm a kid back in the 80s. This is truly family farming.

Finally a farmer that does not need a 90 row corn head just to combine corn

Cherish every moment, boys. I was born and raised on the farm. I had to leave it before I turned 20. Now I am over 50 and I miss it worse than you would miss your favorite dog.

How many dry bushels per acre, what was the moisture and how fast are you going? On my old L2 I can go about 4.5 mph in flat ground in 200 bushel an acre corn and 19% or drier with a 6 row 30 inch head. If I get up in the 22% corn in 200 bu/acre then I usually run about 3.5 mph but have to watch my loss monitor because in some spots I'm sure it's well over 250 bu/acre and it will run over the sieves. Oops, I see this video was a couple years ago so I don't imagine you remember the specifics. 2018 was the year I got my R52. What a dream to run!

Nice video. What was planted in that field across the road from the truck?

How does that work with planting? Is it still 30" rows? We're still rocking a 6 row on a 9400, glad to see they're still around =p Sounds like we have the same model truck too lol.

Lol, no we are on 36” rows

Shows how much I know. I had no idea that was a thing. I've always heard about 30" and then some weirdo's who have 20". You run faster than us though. Cool stuff!!! It's really a different look, you can see it all. 6 is sometimes hard.8-12, good luck. At least imo.

@@sunsetviewfarms9529 We run 36" also. Started with a 4420 that was worn slap out when we got it and made it another 4 years before the poor thing didn't have anything left to give, then we moved up to a 7720 which developed a knock in the lifter bearing(it's fixable thank god) and we picked up a 9400 for a good price to finish the season with and we'll be running this same configuration.

My grandpa lives on the farm and my uncle lives down the road, and I live an hour away, which is why I barely have any videos out lately

I drive a 9500 and have a 2007 893 8 row head. I can do 4 to 6 mph in 140 bu. Add weights or fluid in the rear and put on an 8 row. You'll have a new machine. And not be very far behind a 7-8 mph 9770.

Thanks for the tip, we’re looking to get either a 6 or an 8 row sometime in the future

But right now we can run 6-7 mph in 200 bushel corn just fine
