I think you should call them Holiday Lights Bites. The Skittles that bubbled up and the swirl of colors make me think of a slightly out of focus Christmas lights.

The skittles in the middle look nice, I just don’t like egg nog. I’m wondering if the molds can be easily cut. I have a Small and it seems Harvest Right only offers the Small Freeze Dryer as an afterthought, because other than trays and silicone mats and lids, they don’t offer these molds in that small size. I’ve looked into the dimensions of the trays, and for a reason I can’t figure out, the Small trays are 0.25 inches wider than the Medium trays. They’re 4 inches shorter, and I’m thinking I’d be willing to buy the Medium molds and cut the extra couple of cubes off the ends (or cut them into squares that might fit), I can live with the molds not going all the way across the width. I’m not suggesting you cut yours, I’m just wondering if it’s possible.

Oh yes, I’m going to add these to my “to do list”. FedEx delivering my FD on Monday.

I don’t believe the un-freeze dried skittles will work. Part of the beauty of your new idea here seems to happen as the drink part soaks into the skittle where it starts to desolve them.
