Not sure why the comments are against him, it makes complete sense to want to have some distance, especially that when they move in they are both unlikely to have any distance! Having some distance will strengthen the relationship (or indeed show them both living together is a bad idea). Although, if I were Emily, I would have said no you stay here and I will go down to Cornwall to see our friends! lol. Finally, I don't think they should move in together, it seems like a lot of effort to convince him to do it and that's not a good sign.
