Harvey Specter - Caring Only Makes You Weak 

I think it's really overlooked how well Jessica played Harvey, she knew the exact response she would get out of him. Her reaction after he says weak says it all. Just adds to the quality of the scene.

I wonder how many Men see themselves in Harvey’s character. Is it the display of masculinity, alpha/sigma type of male, the display of self-worth, self-respect, toughness, emotionally damaged by being hurt by those we loved most, confidence, and the list goes on. Almost like another version of 007, which Men are inspired by and Women are swooned by. I just started watching SUITS a few weeks ago and I instantly saw many of my own characteristic traits in Harvey except that I have too much empathy. This is why I’ve learned, just like Harvey (character), you can’t be so caring. You can care, but anyone who knows or sees you doing so will take it as weakness. This is the reason why you can’t how you care. - Doesn’t mean you don’t actually care for people, it just means that at the end of the day you can’t trust anyone to not take your kindness for weakness because they might use it against you. People are more drawn to a Mountain knowing it can’t be moved no matter how much stress it’s under, not a pebble that can easily be moved. This analogy represents how you must hold yourself together as a person. Showing weaknesses gives people the ability to move you off center whereas having a strong emotional foundation can’t be moved. Overall, it’s crazy to see how many others saw themselves in Harvey. Harvey might have saved all Men from the fall of Masculinity in today’s world.

I absolutely agree with Harvey and he's definitely right but there's nothing wrong with caring a little bit when it's someone who's loyal, trustworthy, or even intimate to you like your family or your best friends. If it was just a stranger, ordinary people, or your ordinary friends, etc, you should not care about those kind of people or they'll take walk all over you or take advantage of you.

First few seasons were so good

When i heard Jessica change her tone from mock trial to serious and say "what the hell happened to you, what kind of damage was done to you" i legit paused it and broke down bc that hit home a little too hard

Maturity is when u can relate this statement made by harvey with your life

It hit hard when she said, "What kind of damage was done to you?" I watched Suits because of this scene. Jessica was right Harvey always cares about others but didn't want to show it and he isn't entirely wrong still it's sad he didn't want anyone to know it even if it helps his case here or his personal life.

My mother cares deeply for my sister and me, and I've seen myself and my sister take advantage of that. It's important to restrain yourself from using care as an instinctual reaction and apply logic before acting on it. Nobody is saying you shouldn't love and care, but it's wise to hold back until you're sure they actually need your help.

Depending on the situation and who you are really talking to caring makes you weak but thats something you can control cause you can't know everybody and that's ok cause things can change anytime and if they don't thats reality and just have to practice not to blame yourself in other words don't sabotage your humanity over something you can't control. Instead educate yourself not to repeat the same mistake and you can do that by developing your intution but it's difficult so most dont do it. And that's the problem either that or they don't realise it until it's too late and they end up in situations like these.
