I agree with Chaz . The Pels front office is always 2 steps behind the rest of the nba. I'm calling it now that the west is gonna be more fire than this past season. Pels may be 10th next season !
nope, Griff is azz...he is about to trade away every asset the team got for trading AD including picks and players...and he drafted zion instead of ja morant which is turning out to be dumb lol, and even after that he could have had garland but traded back and drafted naw and jackson. kept gentry instead of just hiring a new young coach and then fired him and bought in old azz washed up stan van dummy who had not coached in 2 years after destroying the pistons, then fired him. traded a good glue player in josh hart who can shoot, score and play defense for super chucker past his prime cj mccolum, ..gave zion 200 million after dude barely played an entire season his first 3 years. then fired the only coach on the staff that zion actually was close with witherspoon, then after he came into camp waying damn near 400 pounds, fired the conditioning coach that helped him loose the weight...now watch he trade ingram to the lakers to help lebron and AD and send back junk
No. He hasn’t. The misses of Kira, Jaxson, and NAW look really bad. Drafting Daniels then Hawkins looks redundant. But worst of all, not trading Ingram before his value plummeted is unacceptable. Now you have no big and limited options to acquire one.
I think he’s done a good job overall. The Pelicans’ problem is that their 2 stars are mostly always hurt, and lack urgency. 1. They’re going to miss 20+ games a season. 2. They’re going to take 5-10 to fully get into game shape after the injury. 3. There’s at least 10 games a year they just don’t want to play basketball, and give 0 effort.
If you think about it, a lot of the same things people try to defend Griff over is what we demonized Dell Demps for. 1. We hated Demps for rushing the rebuild by trading assets for and signing FA veterans in AD’s rookie and sophomore years. Griff did the exact same thing 2. We hated Demps for using assets to dump guys he used assets to acquire. Griff does the same thing 3. We hated Demps for not moving off injured players early enough and running their value into the ground. Griff does the same thing 4. We hated Demps for trying to make under the radar moves that ended up blowing up in his face multiple times, usually winding up with him using as many assets as it would of costed to just go out there and get an elite all star player to put next to AD. Griff has done the same thing The only thing Griff hasn’t replicated from the Demps era is handing out absolutely terrible contracts. Not from lack of trying, remember that 3-4 year $35mil offer for Kyle Lowry Griffin had on the table? Imagine being saddled with that right now as well. This is the same guy who fell to his knees in his office and started crying because Lebron published a Sports Illustrated interview where he was demanding better from everyone on the team and demanding a title that year because “he felt the pressure to deliver the king his oh so valued title” Get this fraud out of New Orleans already. Please. Demps ran wild for 8 years! Griffin is already 5 years into his tenure and has achieved exactly one more win than Demps with quite literally 3x the assets.
I believe Brandon needs to do the one thing that he is very reluctant on doing and that is develop a Mean streak the mentality to run through an opposing players chest
@@cmn225 it's definitely not looking good as far as trying to move him hopefully there's someone out there does going to want to pull the trigger and have him on their team
I think he's done a very good job. Drafting wise. I think he's right. They had to wait and see this group play a whole season healthy together. Now we know the ceiling. Although a trade last off season for a significant player would have been ideal
