When I was seven, I had an adventurous spirit that drew me to the playground near my house every evening. The playground, nestled within a small grove of trees, was my sanctuary. Swings, slides, and the occasional monkey bars made up my kingdom. It was a place where imagination reigned supreme, where I could be a knight, an explorer, or even a superhero. One particular evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in hues of orange and purple, I decided to sneak out to the playground. My parents had warned me about staying out too late, but the allure of the twilight hours was too strong to resist. The cool breeze rustled through the leaves, creating a symphony of whispers that filled the air. As I approached the playground, I noticed something peculiar. The usual chatter of other children was absent, and the playground stood eerily silent. Undeterred, I made my way to the swings, my favorite spot. I began to pump my legs, reaching higher and higher with each swing, feeling the wind rush past my face. That's when I saw her. She was standing at the edge of the playground, partially hidden by the shadows of the trees. At first, I thought she was just another child, maybe someone new to the neighborhood. But as I looked closer, I realized there was something different about her. Her long black hair flowed down her back like a waterfall, and she wore a white dress that seemed to glow in the dim light. I stopped swinging and let my feet drag along the ground, bringing myself to a halt. My heart began to race as the stories my grandmother used to tell me flooded back. Tales of the Pontianak, a ghostly figure known to haunt the night, seeking vengeance. My curiosity battled with fear, but ultimately, curiosity won. I stepped off the swing and slowly walked towards her. As I got closer, I could see her face more clearly. Her eyes were dark, almost hollow, and her expression was a mixture of sadness and anger. She seemed to be looking straight through me, as if I wasn't even there. "Hello?" I called out tentatively, my voice trembling. The figure didn't respond, but she began to move. Her movements were slow and graceful, almost as if she were gliding across the ground. She came closer and closer until she was only a few feet away from me. I wanted to run, but my legs felt like they were rooted to the spot. Suddenly, she let out a wail, a haunting, sorrowful sound that echoed through the playground. It was a sound that chilled me to the bone and made my skin crawl. The trees seemed to shiver in response, their leaves rustling more violently. Then, just as quickly as she had appeared, she vanished. The air grew still, and the playground was silent once more. I stood there, my heart pounding in my chest, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Without another moment's hesitation, I turned and ran all the way home, not stopping until I was safely inside. My parents were worried, but I couldn't bring myself to tell them what I had seen. Instead, I muttered something about getting scared in the dark and they hugged me, relieved to have me back safe. Years have passed since that night, but the memory of the Pontianak at the playground remains vivid in my mind. Sometimes, when the wind rustles through the trees in just the right way, I can almost hear her mournful wail again, a chilling reminder of the night I came face to face with the supernatural.
You should go to Chinese cemetery.i heard now there's not a single graveyard left there.its near the garden remembrance in Lim chukang guys.who knows you guys may experience something different.
I want to back up Ben and Nigel about the last incident at Ngee Ann. I was part of the crew handling the scare room, and what happened was chilling. Just as Nigel mentioned, we took it too far. To ensure complete darkness, we covered every inch with black trash bags to not let any lights in. We designed the room so that when the door opened, students had to immediately drop to their knees and start crawling under obstacles made from tables. Tables ides covered by trash bags, forced the students to move forward like snakes. As crew members, we sat on top of the tables, slamming them to create an impact. The objective was simple: while crawling, students had to find hints pasted along the passage. After a few rounds, we felt it was too easy and decided to up the ante. We started projecting eerie Chinese opera music through the speakers and burned newspapers to fill the room with smoke. Then things got weird. Students began reporting 'scare actors' in places where there were none. At first, we thought they were just messing around. But when the opera music started going haywire, stopping and skipping for no reason, we knew something was wrong. To ensure safety, We always counted students as they entered to ensure the same number came out. As they crawled, we could glimpse through the gaps between tables from our vantage point on top. At one point, all five crew members counted seven students crawling underneath. But when the students left the room, only six came out. We thought someone might be lost, so we turned on the lights, but there was no one else. The group leader confirmed they only had six students per group. At that same time, we started hearing reports from other blocks of strange happenings. We had to stop early. (Block 56… glad its under renovation now)
Unless his bazhi is good or else having wide forehead also useless. If your bazhi is weak, yor you are born with paranormal abilities. You will tense to see or feel the spirits easily.
I have never been so damn invested in a youtube video like this before, for the first time ever I did not even skip the video, I even paused to read everything carefully to understand, please release more videos like this especially with SneakySushi again.
The SPF part is pretty true, lived in foxtrot coy for 6 months, the things mentioned in the notes are pretty much well known to my intake too. My intake enlisted right in the 1st week of 7th month. My bunk did not experience anything as we all scared, straight put crest on the peak cap on the locker on the first night, our bunk never had any issue with supernatural stuffs. My bunk was on the third floor of the "cleaner" side not facing the training village. So the next 3 rooms down our corridor which is from another squad, had a happening night. In the morning a couple of them came to our bunk and asked us "Eh bros, you all got hear or see anything last night?" All who are from my bunk basically replied with "No eh, nothing ah. Why ah?" then they said "Last night you all never hear got sounds of chains dragging on the floor and like bare feet walking on concrete sounds? All 3 bunk of my squad on this level heard it and got one of us call FI and FI told us to just sleep and don't go open door or go toilet" In my 6 months ish in HTA i did not experience anything supernatural though.
my brother in law serves in the army and they’re often sent on training missions deep in the jungle where it’s uninhabited. They tend to sleep in the trees as it’s part of their training. Since he can see spirits, he says these things sleep with them and you can often hear crying etc. They look like the stereotypical creepy female ghost with long hair 🫣
All the stories were really good! Watching this also made me grew appreciation and respect for Sneaky sushi. He may not have seen or experienced very spiritual stuffs but he remains respectful and doesn't make any insensitive jokes. Really enjoyed this episode!
The Foxtrot company story is true. I was in SPF and was also assigned to Foxtrot. On the first day of booking in, my bunk mate already saw "someone" sitting on top of the locker, and in another bunk across the coy, it is always said that "SHE will come back". Every single bunk in our squad also experienced some kind of supernatural activity 😵😵
This episode is fantastic! Please have ep 2!! And yes with the rest, ryan, ben and sneaky sushi should go on a ghost hunting trip together. Best is go back pulau ubin to uncover the “humming” sound.
Ok I am speaking from vague memory so I may be mixing fiction with reality, but concerning the SPF story, I remember once learning about how the badge on police caps (particularly in East/SE Asian countries/religions) actually offer some sort of 'holy' warding against dark spirits due to the material of the badge as well as the crest. Which is also why supposedly Police Stations and Fire Stations are considered to be very heavy in Yang energy compared to the Yin energy spirits are attracted to, mainly because of the nature of their duty as well.
I am from the army, and yes, religious leaders bless not the crest but the unit flag. During the blessing ceremony, all of us were told to bow our head and not look up. I have attended one such blessing ceremony almost 30 years ago during the changing of COA ceremony and a new unit was created on that day.
No choice leh, some of the ghost stories really not v scary. We shot this for 2 hours n cut out quite a lot of stories - should we put unedited version in our members section?
In addition to the $1 coin urban legend. It was supposedly to be displayed by everyone living in Singapore, however being a multi-racial and religious country, it's not possible to get other races/religions citizens to display the 8 trigrams other than Taoists, hence the idea of minting it on our $1 coin was born. BUT, as mentioned earlier, it was supposed to be displayed and coins are usually kept inside pockets or purses. Because of this, another ingenious idea was born. If you can recall, cars used to display road tax label on top left corner of the windscreen. The label is in 8 trigrams shape.
Actually sneaky has what I called the true 正能量, he doesn’t have the ‘overthinking’ ego - he wants to based everything on truth 😊 He doesn’t go to the extent of triggering spirits to get responses from them, and still wise enough to think about his safety.
With regards to Nigel and Ben's experience at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, part of the campus used to be the Kwang Siew Suah (Teochew), a Ngee Ann Kongsi cemetery. The female classmate whom gotten processed by the spirit, maybe from the original inhabitant.
About the SPF Crest, I can concur and say that it is the same for Army as well. Back during BMT, my Sergent tasked me to use clear tape to stick the army crest (those that are usually pinned onto a beret) at the top of the door frame of each of our bunks. His explanation was about the same as discussed in the video.
Not many of the younger ones will know but an 8 sided MPH called the octagon used to stand where the current convention centre is. NP was once a cemetery ground for the Teochews, and the octagon was rumoured to have been built to ward off evil spirits.
omg. my story in HTA was even if you go toliet with your buddy in pairs. but make sure the one you wake up is your buddy. and not "someone" else. Im not sure it was a prank or what. but the story goes that he woke his "buddy" up to go toliet. the quite kuazhang version of this story is that this "buddy" and him go toliet and enter the cubicle next to each other. they had short convo but after he is done. He waited outside the cubicle for his "buddy to finish. but the "buddy" took damn long to finish. just when he got suspicious. He heard a whisper saying: Now thn you know. the next moment he open the door to the next cubicle. no one is there. thn he ran back to the bunk and saw his real buddy lying on the bed. sound asleep. the person checked with the buddy next day, he swear he didnt wake up at all. if its a prank its still ok. but hor if its real its damn scary sia. i couldnt recall if my intake or squadmates experience this but it didnt happen to just 1 person. but many people across the batches
Listening to this..give me creeps while driving the entire time omg. Need to listen some nice music before I meet my clients soon to throw away the chills hehee
When i was hiking alone at maritchie. There was novody around me and i hike feequently. So i know the sound of animals or birds quite clearly. On that paticulary day something just whistle behind my back. And the sound comes from directly the back of my skull. My hair stand straught and i ran.
So i agree with some commenters. My Sec school had a school carnival on 1 weekend. My class decided to do the haunted house theme. As obvious,we covered everything that won't seep through light. Everyone who want to enter the room must have a coupon. Max 5 person per 1 group entry. The class we did was situated near the school backgate & at the end of the hallway was female toilet. To tell the truth, this female toilet situated on level 3 has always been permanently locked. No one dared to actually went to any toilet on that building alone. So back to the story, slightly around batch 10,we heard rumors that previous batch keep saying 'there an extra person(always happen to the last person). So when they entered, some were holding hands & some either just hold the person shoulder in front of them. However the last person felt something was holding on to their shoulder. So after batch 10,we decided to call it off. Luckily we started around afternoon so it wasn't too bad.
Last year during my camp ( P5 camp ) at moe dairy farm, when our teacher said the girls could go to the toilet, my classmates ran there and when i was walking there, my friend came running back to me with some of my other classmates and they said they saw a woman dressed in white in the toilet. Then for the boys, at night, there was knocking on the back door in the boys' dorm (leading to the 2nd level) for the whole night. Scary. Another one was when my brother was young, ( I wasn't born yet, but he told me a few years back ) he was with his friend at the playground at night during the hungry ghost festival. Then when he went home and went to sleep, he had a nightmare of a woman dressed in white and her face was covered by her hair grabbing him by his shoulders at the same playground. He got sick after that nightmare.
The crests are emblems of authority. The spiritual world has a power hierarchy. When they see the crest they have to respect the authority. As for going to toilet or bathroom alone at night, my first BF’s had an experience during reservist. For some reason he was late back to bunk and went to shower by himself. His Dad had gotten him a jade pendant which he was supposed to wear all the time. While he showered, he sensed something was not right and suddenly his jade pendant broke. Chinese believe that jade can ward off evil spirits, harm and curses of its wearer and when the jade breaks it means that it protected the owner.
Malaysian here. I've heard of toyol stories from our national service. Some guy brought his toyol (i think he had no choice in this), the toyol kacau everyone in their sleep. All the guys in that dorm kena. No idea if they called mufti to the place or not.
18:45 there was once i went to the kitchen fridge to take some drink in the dark , after that i saw a silhouette in my living room near the window. I shouted at it , it stays motionless so i went to switch on the light. There's no one there , so i switched off the light and went back to my room. Until today I still believed I saw something that night .
@@overkillsingapore From what I know, when I enrolled into Ngee Ann Poly, Night walks was alr banned due to "these" incidents. So my seniors shared abt a night walk story during his/her time. The night walk was situated at blk 35/34 area. It was going "smoothly" then when the committee realized there was a grp missing. so the committee went in to search for them but they couldn't find that particular grp. Even canvassing every single corner of the building. Then when the committee gave up and went back to the holding area, few minutes later that particular grp that was missing came back. The committee ask them where they went. the grp replied: we were do the night walk as per normal but didn't see any the grp in front of them. It was speculated that this particular grp somehow when into a 2nd dimension. Another story abt blk 50 Ngee Ann Poly, to Ben and Nigel, I believe u know abt the story why even blk 50 has 7 levels but the building is only accessible to 6th level and the 7th level is blocked off. Another blk 50 story goes like this (also heard from seniors): During a camp for the night walk, the committee was super daring enuf to put a picture and incense joss stick (lighted up) and stationed someone under a table to scare the campers doing the night walk. So during the trial run, it went smoothly. However when the actual night walk started, things took a turn. the person who was hiding under the table could not move, and felt something/someone holding him/her back and could not come out. until like the 3rd or 4th group turn to do the night walk when the person under the table shouted for help and was successfully pulled out under the table. the next 2-3 days the person fell ill with super high fever . To Ben and Nigel, Do you know the story on why Ngee Ann Poly track is in blue color and not the normal red color??
FYI Kuman Thong is not exactly a Ghost Child, one is a spirit of a dead child who wasn't able to reincarnate, usually made by a Thai monk. Ghost Child is the black magic type.
I read the guardian by adopting the KMT, is supposedly helping it to attain merit which allows it to reincarnate. So the guardian is also gaining merit and karma as well.
Ben should go ghost hunting with Sneaky Sushi, and Nigel will then be asked to tagged along. However, odd numbers are never good, so please get Ryan to join that shoot too.
You guys are soooo funny. Good one. Anyway, I believed ghost are real even though I have never really encountered or seen one. But my closest encounter was in the army camp doing night patrol with another guy. The reason why I believed in ghosts is that I know of a master who can read my mind like a computer screen. He knows exactly what I was thinking or going through in my life without me saying a single word to him. He can see both ghosts and Goddesses. I have seen him with my own eyes doing 13,000 ab crunches under 3 and half hours. You cannot imagine how fast it was. At that time, he was already in his 60s. He is my meditation master, Sri Chinmoy.
The best story is the poly night walks at the end. Seems like a full moon night where all the spirits are out. The weirdest part was the youth pastor trying to ‘council’ the spirit out with live acoustic music in the background. I know that priests from all religions will usually try to talk nicely to the spirit first and will only resort to threatening the spirit if they refuse to leave but never heard that they need a sidekick to perform live music at the same time. This is rather hilarious 😂
Sometimes there are ghost singing inside my room. But I dont care, I just continue to play my games. They just sing their songs. There are one time I managed to hear carefully what is he singing. The song is in chinese. I even had took pictures of the spirits.
From here we can see how brave sushii is for adventuring those scary places. He admitted he has time that he was scary but well he is a nornal human being, fear is unavoidable. I prefer sushii adventure with just his videographer, star. I think they made a good partnership and for the other two guys get scare too easily and laugh too much.
idk why ghost like to sit on top of those lockers honestly hahaha ive seen one but she was standing in front of window besides the locker and in front of this trainee in a condition of half body fade ish. that day i realized the girl who throw the dirty used pad must be her ( since no one admit when i asked back then), she's lucky enough cause I'm the one picked the used pad and throw it properly that time i was gonna shower in the afternoon after training, i was gonna ignore it and change shower room but a pair of red eyes was looking aim at me from the tree outside of the bathroom or toilet area. so i turned back and do what i must do even though it wasn't mine , its just out of the respect for what ever that red eye is ( im not scared of em cause i grew up having the 3rd eye). other dorms also done the same but no one care about it and so they all got hysteria attack that night.
