Great video. The people complaining about there are too many pairs available are hype beasts they just love something because it’s rare they want to flex. The energy did shift on these and it’s definitely tied to the re-sell era we are in. If there’s no re-sell value then all those people looking to make a few extra bucks start hating on the sneaker. This has been a great time for people that really do just enjoy buying and wearing whatever sneakers they like regardless of hype. I have become a huge admirer of James Whitner and what his brands have done so this is such a cool sneaker to me. Happy it’s been easy to get. Let’s see what happens to the hype around the black cement 3s later this year. There’s supposed to be a lot of those coming and I want that pair as well. Will the “same hype beasts” start hating on that sneaker as well if there’s no re-sale value??
to add, i think a lot of ppl who are into sneakers perceived resale value as the end all be all indicator of a shoe being good. outside ppl trying to make a money off the sneaker, if the shoe isnt selling out in seconds and going for $500 or more on stockx/ebay. Ppl think that shoe is a dud and isnt cool.
The energy shifted since the A Ma 12s because they were very available. Every A Ma Maniere release since the 12s have been very available! So, the hypebeasts ran away! A Ma Maniere is still the most consistent collaborater in the game!
The W’s fuel my love for this drop. Been in this game too long to care about the hypebeast and artificial scarcity tactics. Give the people what they want.

I buy what I like. I wear all my sneakers. If folks saw my collection, would be clear that hype or resell doesn't enter into the equation cuz it's a mix of everything. Haha

They’re cool, and I probably would of copped but black cement 3’s are in a couple months and personally I’m doubling up on those , I think it was just timing on this shoe , plus a lot of people are being picky and next year is going to be crazy
Yeah I feel that. 3s are my fave Jordan silhouette next to the 4 but they don't make as many colorways that I like in the 3 as they do in the 4s (they make a ton of white 3s) so I had to grab these. I'll be grabbing the black cement 3s as well. No double up for me tho. Too much heat next year so too many shoes to wear lol.
Hypebeasts are whining because it’s the first time in a while an actual dope collab was widely available to get if you wanted them. They’ll all be gone and sell out no doubt, but resell will be retail for a while, so they are big mad. I say too bad resellers, hold that L.

Nah there was never any energy on these just fake hype on youtube. A ma has struggled on the last several releases if were being honest. The messaging is the problem they focus on messages more than business and getting the product to the consumer.

The pairs are geared towards the women around messaging but really they’re unisex. Not like they have high heels and ruffles🤣 women wear men’s pairs all the time and if the pairs come in extended sizing it’s open to more men buying. I’m an 11M so I can’t buy unless sizing is extended. Come on son How is that corny? You like Travis Lows? A lot of them are “technically” women’s. Feel the same way about those? I like and I hope they don't change that everyone can get a certain release whenever they release but what I don't like is he releases too many good shoes back to back to back to back it's hard to afford all those releases unless you blow your hole check or credit card on them people gave to pay bills. Take time to release each shoe.
