Thursday marks the fifth anniversary of the death of Mark Duggan in Tottenham, north London. His fatal shooting by police sparked days of riots across London and other English cities. Five years on, has anything changed in Tottenham since the violence? BBC News visited the area to find out.

In my opinion the riots were a reflection of the senseless greed demonstrated by politicians. The riots were not long after the whole mp's expenses scandal. The riots simply replicated the greed demonstrated by our leaders-claiming for a flat screen telly, and smashing a window to obtain one. For some reason one form of theft is acceptable and the other isn't. In my view they are both abhorrent but former should be viewed as much more damaging to society, because our leaders should know better.

I think allot rioted so they could break into shops and steal things it wasn't about race white and black people rioted. Many of them had jobs and weren't on the bread line.
