Usually that's seen as a negative: See: COD's "advanced movement" titles (Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare) not feeling like COD titles from 2007-2013 (though I personally had fun with Black Ops 3's multiplayer) See also: Need for Speed Prostreet receiving mixed reviews for not feeling like Need for Speed titles from before 2007 (though as you can tell by my username, I like Prostreet very much).
Sad thing was, Prostreet was one of the best, if not the best, NFS games since the PS2 days ended. After Prostreet, they kinda went downhill again and fell off.
@@CyanRooper Advanced movement was done best in Titanfall 1 and 2. I'd way rather play those multiplayer than any game you listed... Those only get playtime for zombies and such.
The fact that there is a Skibidi Toilet movie currently being made by Michael Bay shows that were are, without a doubt, in the worst dystopian timeline we've always imagined.
8:27 This just already works to be fair, since "Sacre Bleu" Literally translates to "Sacred Blue". These are things you should know people, Sonic lost his rings on the cross for you.
technically yes, but the worst kind of technically "Sacre Bleu" is also an expression (written "sacrebleu") which is kinda "fuck" for old people, "bleu" replacing "dieu" ("god") because it was blasphematory, "sacre" also being kind of a slur if used ironically also blue was color of royalty, dont know if it is related but i have the info so you too now
@@tinystar3010😂 just become a boomer and go outside and make a sand castle or climb up a tree or something like in the old days. That's so much fun, isn't it?! Hahaha
@@tinystar3010 you can buy a multinational's "CatripleAAA" game, just wait until the reviews are out and positive and the "Ultimate, includes everything that should have been included in the first place" edition is cheap and you *know* it's not live-service Otherwise just buy small indie games
Ubisoft can only fix itself by getting rid of their own leadership. In this day and age, that is nearly if not at all impossibe. They have failed their user base for too long.
There's no hope for Ubisoft, no "turning it around" they've doubled and tripled down on the worst possible aspect and parts of modern gaming. Even if the Star Wars game is halfway decent it's still locked behind a bunch of nonsense. The old Ubisoft is dead and buried and it's not coming back.
My disappointment was immeasurable that the story had nothing to do with Ubisoft changing their horrible business practices and was merely: "they made a game that maybe isn't just a lazy skin of the same game they've been making for a decade."
I think there should be awareness for this in congress, how journalists are pushing bad and expensive products towards consumers. I'm sure something illegal is there
Ubisoft still showed their cards from day one. DLC is not the same as putting one mission behind a $40 paywall at launch. That's a cash-grab AND selling an incomplete game at full price
Bethesda created a space desert called Starfield. It's just a big place, but there's nothing there. UBI made AC Shadows and Star wars outlaws. Not too big, lots of stuff, but all things and objects are pirated, defective and stolen. If they work together, they can make high quality Space debris cleanup games.
Plus they're currently hiding behind plenty of controversy about other things they put in their games but it's a very hilarious defense to hide behind that when your games have so many other problems.
As a TitanFall 2 fan I’ve seen the lack of skill-based matchmaking cut the player base time after time. Every year for one reason or another TF|2 gets an influx of new players and the G100s dive in and absolutely shred the newbies to pieces… and then they quit. I don’t blame the longtime players of course. It’s exciting when people all rush in and matches are easier to find but with the seemingly infinite skill ceiling that game has with no gate between them and their lunch, there is just no chance for newbies to keep up or learn the game’s fundamentals.
I feel like an under discussed and appreciated aspect of the sbmm test is that all of the players thought sbmm was still on so they simply assumed they were getting destroyed because sbmm really is that bad, if the players were aware I would expect better results
The DMCA makes no sense, they used assets from Gmod (CS:S/HL) to create those characters in the first place. Wasn't this Defuq dude using Source Filmmaker anyways?
I just assumed the Paris organising committee were ripping Ubi off in the opening ceremony, I never expected that it was actually meant to be the AssCreed character. Mostly because they didnt run at 7fps, their head wasn't a pair of floating eyeballs and clacky teeth, and they didnt fall to their death through a solid wall because collision physics were broken.
That price drop for PSVR came a little late. I saw it but avoided it on the basis that there probably wont be many VR titles to utilize the hardware anyway. Sony already threw in the towel on it, a few months ago... leaving people with hopes that the only way they'll make decent use of it, is IF they manage to get compatibility working on PC.... or are okay with playing the same handful of games on repeat. Im also going to assume a large majority of the people who bought it dont know its a dead product at this stage, but thought they were getting a bargain buy. Lets just hope for their sakes, Sony sees the uptake in interest and does something to avoid disappointing them.
I guess you haven't heard about the official PC adapter? The other day there is a playstation VR app on steam as well. So I guess Sony is doing something... which probably why it was selling too well for PC users.
@@Deliveredmean42 Cool. Glad they finally got it working. That is news to me, because last I heard, it was still rumored on them working on trying to do PC compatibility (thats why i hinted at IF they got it working)
Not sure who said it didn't seem like an Ubisoft game? People I've seen said it still had Ubisoft crap in it. Especially the tall space grass inside a building for stealth.
Sony dropped the ball with psvr 2. At launch it had eye tracking, something that very few other VR headsets had at the time for a very good price with a caveat that you could only use it with a PS. Not buying a headset until I know what games are going to be on it, Now that they've made it somewhat computer compatible it's looking like a decent deal however, it needs eye tracking and some haptic feedback support. Ain't no reason why it's only isn't allowing for PC version to have it 🤔
Ubisoft will only get the "fixed itself" badge when they can guarantee that games we pay for are actually ours and not merely a rental for a period of time that only they can determine.
It's amusing to watch an ancient organization like the IOC make an attempt at staying relevant. Because of course they are going to do so in the most kludgy way possible.
@@GSBarlev What could possibly give you that idea? It's not like they have a joint venture with a ruthlessly oppressive authoritarian regime known for assassinating journalists. Oh, wait... 😳
The vast majority of people who were calling out SBMM for various problems actually never really experienced any issues caused by SBMM. It was just one of those things where someone got pissed off because they couldn't just always kill noobs and had to play against people that can fight back. Everyone else just piggybacked off that while not actually having any issues, they just thought they were better than they were and actually wanted to win rather than just have fun, because that's actually what SBMM would allow. Play however the hell you want and mess around, you will land in a spot where sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but in the end you won't just be playing against "sweats".
Bro I couldn't be bothered to play Redfall WHEN IT WAS FREE! Same with Fallout 76. What the f*ck are you smoking? OF COURSE BAD PRODUCTS EXIST! Even free stuff will cost you time & that's a resource so valuable that even the wealthiest people on earth gotta ration theirs because they can't buy more. No such thing as a bad product..... stay in school kid. You clearly need it.
The video games chosen by the Olympics to be allowed is the clearest sign that there is some corruption or some backroom deals or some sketchy behavior is going on behind the scenes. Like free to play mobile game nft scams are not what I would call Olympic level gaming
8:20 Hey, Riley, Arno Dorian is from Assassin's Creed Unity. Which takes place during the French Revolution in France making him French. Not Italian. Silly Riley.
Most of the reviews I have seen for outlaw said it’s “meh”. The highest praise was “it’s not bad”. But that also went with it’s not good and feels like a game that came out in the early 2000’s…. And not in a good way.
First Nintendo going after Gmod, now this. Not that I care for Skibidi Toilet, but I do think Gmod needs a DMCA exemption so there's not more suspicious take downs.
Next GameLinked, continue the gag at the end “there you are! I’ve been waiting for you for two whole days! I said I wouldn’t move from this spot!” Etc. Even better if it’s someone other than Riley to gaslight us into thinking it’s not a continuity error.
Imagine researchers in thousands of years referring to an era as what the main game was. We would probably be in the Skyrim era. As would the researchers themselves. It will not end.
Blue is the dominant colour on any of our sportsmen, be it footballers, handballers, tennis table players, rugby players, or even our pseudo-national(-soon-to-be-scuppered) F1 team: Alpine. Our supporters often chant: «allez les Bleus!»; so Sonic would be very welcome as a Frenchman(-hog?)! Although he could also be with our Italian neighbours who also happen to like dark blue on their own guys. But they can have Mario & Luigi, so it should be alright.
why can't we just have servers again for multi-player? The only time I ever really enjoyed match making were during the Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2 days, and those were the exception.

As much as I might not be much of a fan of DaFuq?!Boom! content, I appreciate him being transparent with the whole DMCA case.... But dear fucking god, r34 of that sounds horrifying
If what was said about Star Wars Outlaws can be boiled down to the simple line "it doesn't feel like a typical Ubisoft game" it seems to me there is either A) Not much else to talk about. Meaning the game is "meh" as I keep saying it will be. Or, B) There is a whole lot else not being said. Which would mean Ubisoft is keeping things tight lipped and they are lying again. Which I also have been saying they are likely doing, just as they have done before. I hope I am completely f***ing wrong. But I don't trust them. #stopkillingames
@@TheGameBench No, it isn't out yet to the public, only youtubers I believe. But in this case I don't have to because it comes from Ubish*t and if that isn't enough then there are enough videos that show gameplay of it. I mean, go watch some of them and look for yourself, after all, I'm just a random person who hates Ubisoft that left you a comment of my opinion.
I would volunteer my own voice for video game AI generation. I bet thousands (millions?) of other gamers would as well. No money. No credit. But what fun! Want to incentivize gamers to donate their voices? Tell them what character their voice was used for and possibly send them a code to download the game for free. Gamers would be falling all over each other to get signed up.
Surprise surprise, being properly challenged is a good thing? Like, why has anyone ever said skill based match making was bad? It's the same as ranked mode in literally every other kind of PvP game. And generally most people prefer to play ranked mode more than free play.
In that logic, "being properly challenged" isn't happening for the majority of the gamimg community then because that's exactly what sbmm does, limits you to similar skill level opponents. Meaning you legitimately never ever get a proper challenge to learn from unless you face a smurf account or play cbmm.
I'm not saying I disagree, but the test they did doesn't really show that convincingly. It's quite obvious that going from being matched with people of similar skill level to suddenly having to contend with some much better players, without even knowing SBMM has basically been turned off for you, is going to feel really bad. Because from your PoV you've suddenly gotten way worse at the game, or other people have suddenly gotten way better, or it feels like they're cheating. Players expectations are an incredibly important part of an enjoyable experience. If I play against players I know are better and more experienced than me, then losing doesn't feel as bad and the few times I succeed or outplay them are much more significant and enjoyable. If I'm expecting to never be greatly challenged and then suddenly are it feels horribly unfair instead. I grew up playing CS, and when I started playing I didn't see a positive KD ratio for years despite playing against other very average/casual players. It didn't bother me, though, because it let me gradually see myself improve, catch up and start beating these players. The fact that the challenge level was relatively consistent let me see that personal progress. Meanwhile with modern ranked play, the only way I can tell how well I'm playing is via the game's ranking system, and if I'm honest it feels worse than consistently playing against better players. If a game is trying to force me into a place where I win 50% of my games, why would I bother trying to improve? So I can chase a new badge that represents an arbitrary skill range? Meanwhile if I'm playing against the same population of players each time, I can much more easily and intuitively feel my progress.
I think people bitching about sbmm really just bitch about matchmaking in general. Matchmaking ruins games and sucks the fun out of everything. It makes games less personal and makes people more toxic. The old server hosting system is way better than any and all matchmaking
I'm glad you are enjoying the PSVR2 price drop over there in the Americas while enjoying not having the console's price be risen, here in Europe the PSVR2 is still 600€ and the console 550€ haha, thanks Sony
PSVR2 getting native PC (windows) support and I think thats done more to help the salves than the price drop myself dont get me wrong the price drop is good but too little software on PS5 for it to be wirth spending even that much just for a PS5 only headset but now ith coming PC support it makes the headset a far better value
Whenever I see a game getting so much gameplay videos before release I am very dubious that it's being over sold. So many games have done this and it's very rarely good.
