If you get the third degree for asking why your money is being spent, and what it is being spent on, we have a fundamental problem with the media and the government. Both are broken.

Tucker wasn’t saying Russia is better than the USA. Tucker was saying look at what’s wrong with the USA that we don’t have the things we use to and should. We the people spend way too much in taxes to not have nice train stations, roads, power grids, etc.

What the heck do you think Russia looks like outside of Moscow and St. Petersberg? They don't have paved roads, it's all mud/dirt paths. Plumbing? Only in the cities. It's like in the US with a bunch of infastructure centered around the population centers, but Russia takes it up to 11.

If our debts were paid, if our boarders were in check, if our vets were taken care of, and our elderly, then maybe we should help others. Does every American have to do this on the daily? We pay our bills we take care of our 3ft of space. Why does the government not do the same?

It was all based on the "Petro Dollar", Katherine. The power of the US was cemented in the exchange of Saudi oil for US Dollars EXCLUSIVELY. Due to this, most nations were forced to use US Dollars through the international clearinghouse known as the SWIFT system ( think international PayPal). Once the US started prohibiting people and countries from using this system (if the US didn't like what they did), those countries have lost respect of the US. They are now looking at the US as a terrorist country and are working to isolate it from the world stage. Since we are up to our eyeballs in debt to other countries, we are not taken seriously anymore.

Hey get your brain in gear. You are a part of NATO and have obligations. We in Denmark has given all of our F-16s and a lot more than the US, compared to how many we are. And we still support them. Now, the question here in EU is, if we can trust the US, as a NATO member. Latest poll says that 74 % says NO. You only help, if you are paid for it. Disgusting !!! And as a Dane, I think, that you should get out of NATO. We don´t need you, we don´t trust you.

We need a mandate for single issue bills. This cr*p with all this wheeling dealing and you scratch my back and I'll scratch your has got to stop. Everything needs to stand or fail on its own merits alone. Also no bill should need more than a couple dozen double spaced pages so every representative can easily read it in full and make a decision to vote for or against.

3-to-1 advantage is being tossed around without amplification. I can''t swear what that means at, say, company level; but, at Corps down to Battalion, Army doctrine is that 3-to-1 only gives a 50% chance of success. It is the starting point for calculating victory.

Our food is killing us! We have been eating our own veggies, meat, and fruits with some supplements during winter and come to find out its the flour I've been buying that's making us sick! We are easily able to see just how splintered the USA is when the Texas vs Fed situation heated up. You had half of the nation vocally supporting and signing documentation to stand with Texas on the matter. A couple more could have led to a convention of states, which would then be able to tell the Federal government to shut up, sit down, and here's what the new rules would be. People forget that power doesn't lie with the Federal government. They only have as much power as the people and states allow them.

@TheFriendlyAnarchist
@TheFriendlyAnarchist 2 месяца назад
You know money isn’t real, right? We made it up. It’s just paper and numbers in a computer database. The question of “aid to Ukraine” doesn’t have anything to do directly with taxes because taxes and budgets are just artificial systems we’ve created to manage labor and resources. The aid to Ukraine is a TINY percentage of our budget, because what we’re doing is giving Ukraine a bunch of our old and obsolete military hardware that was just gathering dust. The price tag on the bill is America paying ITSELF to clear out these old stockpiles and replace everything with brand-new top of the line military hardware. We aren’t losing anything because money isn’t created by work nor is it consumed by spending. The government has the ability to fund virtually any and all projects it wants, with or without taxes, all it needs is the political will and to print the money in proper proportion to a growing economy. We pay taxes because taxes are one of the (usually) non-violent ways the government asserts its coercive power over us. The ritual of the government taking a portion of our access to resources away from us keeps the relationship between Washington and the taxpayer real. It is a reminder of who’s in charge, but paradoxically it’s also a buy-in that reinforces the duty of the government to its citizenry. Because you were forced to give the government this money, the government owes something to you. This is all to say that, if we look at aid to Ukraine (and really any other country) the US Government isn’t doing these things to be nice, it is doing them because it is in the direct interest of the US Government for this “aid” to be “given” out. In the case of Ukraine it is probably the best financial investment the country could have, as Ukrainians are, in return, grinding down the Russian military without the need for a single American soldier to risk his or her life. Weapons manufacturing is one of the only remaining factory jobs that is still in the USA, meaning that every dollar that is handed over to Raytheon, Boeing, etc. is more or less a stimulus package, because the money is being spent domestically and when it comes to domestic spending, a government in the red is a nation in the black. Conservatives think the the US is a global force for good and they jealously resent aid to anyone else and demand “America first!” There has never been a single point in our nation’s history that American *hasn’t* come first. Our government (and in fact every government) is a group of glorified gangsters and you should know that even when the mob is “being nice” they really aren’t. Point being that aid, and military aid in particular and money spent on infrastructure, education, and healthcare etc. is not either/or proposition. We can do both, it’s just that the government doesn’t WANT to do these things because huge sectors of our society are opposed to public works, and ultimately the USA has never been anything but high class muscle for a tiny group of elites, and the rest of us either don’t matter or are somehow in active opposition to that group of elites. But in any case, aid to Ukraine quite literally *IS* “America first” countries do not have friends; they have interests.

Hi Nick on an independent point when you disbelieved Putin's statement on the size of the Chinese economy he was careful to say Purchasing Power Parity was the measure which is correct according to Western economic analysis. Edit. For those unfamiliar Purchasing Power Parity removes the effects overall of currency evaluations on forex markets from GDP analysis. It does this by counting similar stuff products from other countries not what it cost in local currency and applying the forex ratio. This also applies to the size of economy for Russia as bigger than Germany.

How much revenue has never left America through all these bills passed to aid Ukraine..? But Instead, has stayed State side to feed the coffers of all the contractors whose products are strictly for war? Include any and all investors, like the government Unduly Elected.

1. Is it then the invasions of Iraq immoral? In neither of those two invasions had the Iraq government done anything to the US. Yet we were used as a for-hired- mercenary force against the Iraqis. And o. The second invasion, we just made up some b.s. 2. What would be the reaction of the US, if Mexico or Canada flirted with the idea of a mdefense treaty with China or Russia. I think all of the cavalry units in Fort Hood would be rolling towards Mexico City within days, and every SOF group would be there within the hour. You cannot call an invasion immoral if, your next door neighbor threatens your country's security. Is the whole idea of having a standing armed force.

We have let our military become the armed thugs for the EU. We go into these countries to preserve the standard of living for European countries who wont send their own militaries. NATO is just a tool they use against us to use our kids to keep the oil and drugs flowing.

It’s not a stalemate. It’s a war of attrition and Russia is dominating and gaining momentum. Also, Bakhmut was not a minor victory….lots of Ukrainian brigades were sucked in and destroyed, such that they were not around to participate in the 2023 summer offensive in Zaporezhia, which was a catastrophic failure for Ukraine.

Are we judjing other people by the amount of freedoms we claim they have now? US is an involved party, and so its acolytes - I'd challenge a good half of what the guest analyst said here.

There was a report out this morning that the Army will be out of money by May because they have been buying arms and ordnance and sending it to Ukraine. At that point they will have to shut down other operations to shift the funds.

"What interest do we have in Ukraine?" - Wow, what a question. How about freedom, democracy, national sovereignty, humanitarian aid, attacks on civilians, war crimes... the list of interests goes on and on. When did Republicans become isolationists? If Putin gets away with an invasion of Ukraine do you REALLY think he will stop there?

Yes. Not everything is WW2. Russia was wrong to invade, but its goals are clear and stated, to take Luhansk and Donbass because those areas voted to leave after the US backed coup in 2014. It’s not our war, or at least it shouldn’t be, and the only thing the US has in Ukraine is a money laundering scheme set up by the Biden who, along with the Military Industrial Complex, are the direct beneficiaries of this war.

1 It doesn't matter who the journalist is, if a world leader wants to sit down and talk with an American, they owe it to journalism to make themselves available. 2 At the end of the day it doesn't matter what Russia's motivation are if our motivations are independent of Russia's. 3 We are obliged to help Ukraine because we gave them assurances if they were attacked by Russia in exchange for them giving up their nuclear weapons.
