@@philesq9595 im 6,2 190 so my build is pretty standard and clothes are very easy to find but I’m a size 13 shoe and that’s the real struggle. Unless you’re going to basketball shoe stores I almost never find size 13s anywhere else. You gotta learn to love jordans😂
@@fraze6944 13s shouldn’t be hard to find. 13 is the highest standard shoe size that most shoe stores carry. I wear 16s and that is actually hard to find

I once went to buy a button up shirt from a Japanese store literally called Big Sizes. The store clerk visibly relaxed once their 7XL shirt fit me, since that was the biggest one they had. Note here: "big" in Japan often means "tall and thin" instead of "tall and broad". Our problem was finding a shirt that would fit an overweight tall man. ^^'
So if you’re short and fat you’re SOL. I’m guessing that if I were able to find a pair of jeans that miraculously fit me they would go 1 ft past my ankles 😅

i know a guy who is 6f9 inches. we went to bulgaria on vacation. the only had like up to large size. anything after that (xl xxl xxxl etc.) they only became wider. not longer. he couldn't buy any shirts there.
As a Japanese, we still have “Large” size in some stores I usually wear But I still can’t believe fitting in a small size shirt in the US. Your medium is like 3XL for us😂

@@srs6461 All I know is when I took my brother's UK large track jacket it fit well on the torso and my arms, but when I wear US large jackets while the arm length is fine they're always too wide on the torso. These days I since I've lost _even more_ weight I think have to look for slim medium or skinny large clothing, and I'm not particularly super thin either (around 68-72kg at 1.8m).
I had a weird opposite thing happen to me in the US. I'm average height (at least for Spain, 5'9") and have a pretty slim build, which meant that I was always an XS in the US. However, most stores DID have XS, but since no one bought them, I could always find my size. It was great lol

I'm a tall skinny guy in America. There is literally a store called Big and Tall. Emphasis on AND cuz they only have Big AND Tall shirts. I look like I could go sky gliding. Everywhere else is too short or too fat.

Remember, there is always custom ordered clothes that are tailored to you. If you are too big, or too small, but you want a certain look, you can always order a custom outfit that fits you perfectly, if you are willing to shill out extra for the fit. You dont have to give up on fashion because your body doesnt fit the mass produced standard clothings.

I just came back from Japan and as a 6'5 man it wasnt really hard to find clothing. Every store had something my size only real struggle was finding shoes. But there's so many shops reselling designer clothing with western Nike shoes and such which were in my size. Even in basically the countryside.

It also applies to shoes. Japanese tend to have smaller feet. Any dude in the us with a mens size 15, good luck. Women larger than a U.S. 6 have also had issues finding shoes. This may also apply to some Japanese adult products too.
I remember a YT short from a Japanese guy (he is always dressed in traditional clothes, I don't remember his name since from time to time he ends up in my suggested) about this topic. If you are a westerner, some brothels will actually deny you service. There is both the "size" issue and the idea that westerners are more ... brutish. The TT guys and other youtubers probably use adjustment services from the stores they buy. Even with money, I believe most people don't go after tailors nowadays.

As someone stationed in Sasebo for 3 years I'll confirm that Japanese clothing stores do not often have clothes that fit foreigners with the exception of a few places in the Sasebo new Ginza district, and God help you if your looking for shoes especially athletic shoes
