After being asked for years to play Disco Elysium on stream, after seeing chats reaction to TWD , Hasan decides to finally give it a try on stream !
Note: Hasan has already finished the game once offstream but its his first time playing on stream.
HasanAbi is a political commentator and ( occasional ) gamer. He streams almost every single day spending his time talking about world news, engaging with his community and fan creations and gaming solo and with friends.

for people confused i think it would be kind of helpful to look into what the different traits mean and what they contribute to your thoughts. its like dnd where u have different skills and classes as many probably caught on. some skills are obvious like perception, but some are more tailored to the game like Espirit de corps, which is your characters connection to cops and him being a cop, so the thoughts that trait contributes are of your cop self. same with Shivers, that one is your connection to the city itself/the world. so Shivers contributes thoughts about whats going on in the city around you etc. A thing i was confused abt the first time i was playing was that the thoughts and different aspects of the characters personality sound really serious/sound similar so i would take everything they say very literally or as the objective truth (which is how the character would take them) but you soon begin to realize that they really are just your thoughts and can be unreliable You can also unlock diff thoughts from conversations you have or things you find or the way you behave, which is where the thought cabinet comes in. if you choose to ruminate on a thought it can unlock diff skills associated with that thought etc. its a bit of a learning curve but once u get into it it really feels intuitive to how people think and perceive the world! (if i got something wrong im sorry let me know phaha)

lol. I’d just suggest playing the game. They’re pretty self explanatory if you play it or read into it. No need to hold these people hands. I guess these game isn’t as big as I thought it was or the community isn’t as present here, I don’t get why things are needing to be explained to us. Hassan has played the game he already knows these things, if he isn’t teaching us then it’s up to us to look into it ourselves. Kinda a cynical view here. There are great play throughs BLIND where you can learn with someone else not someone who’s already played it, playing it for…. Someone? Idk the audience for this but it isn’t for new people unfamiliar with the game. Have a good day sorry for the long rant.

@@solala1312b that's kinda the point. Most people who play this game are mostly confused until day 3, at which point many people have tried explaining reality to you that the average player will have a decent understanding of who they are and what the world is like. It's kind of supposed to be hard to understand? The game does a good job of making you feel like a confused alcoholic who just woke up with no memory.

All the traits are very very integral to the game and it’s function that’s why even for ma after 5 years of watching I still seen new dialogue cause of how the dialogue interacts with each other and to you as a character

he said the gaming arc wasnt over...he said he will keep playing disco elysium or a telltale game... AND YET HE HAS BETRAYED US AGAIN ! I've basically never criticized Hasan for anything he's ever done, but spelling out story elements before they're fully revealed in an entirely story driven game really grinds my shit up

I think the problem is that it's hard for this game to be engaging to a twitch audience, it's a lot of dialogue and story and the point is that not a lot of it makes sense in the beginning, even though lots of clues about the case are given. There's a lot of chatters who are utterly confused and continually ask "what's going on?" so Hasan probably feels compelled to try and give more information. It's also kind of an easy game to spoil, as discussing pretty much any concept or character will require you to divulge information that is spoilery

It’s literally one of the easiest type of games to add your own dialogue/thought process as content. I don’t understand why you would just click through without adding anything at all? Like, why

it is super confusing as a complete newbie. if you played it's probably difficult to understand how the audience is struggling. even after 2 episodes I'm still unsure about certain aspects of the game.
