What’s the one mod you would do with this Proton Pack? For me I would replace the bracket that holds the wand with a strong magnetic plate so it’s easy to reattach the wand when wearing the pack. As it stands now it’s not really doable
Ive already opened her up and installed a Lith ion rechargable battery. Where you put your wallet is were I put the the port to charge it. Next..a amp and speakers. It needs to be LOUDER!!! LOL
The extra switch is there on the actual pack, so Hasbro included it. They also made it a functional switch for the tinkerers in the GB community to use for their own modds.
Thanks. Will be interesting to see what’s done with it. Would have made sense to use it as a switch from the 84 to 2021 sound profile instead of opening up the cyclotron
@@GeekCulture will be very interesting to see what the community does with the hasbro pack in the future. There's already mods that exist for the spengler wand. Modds for the proton pack will follow suit.
Finally glad to see a video of someone taking this out into the world with a jumpsuit! This is probably my favorite toy replica of all time and I am motivated to get a jumpsuit and Alice frame to cosplay this proper in the future.
I got mine yesterday! It really is so awesome, it's everything I hoped it would be. I've spent since October 2021 staring at the Haslab page, and now I can't stop staring at it in person either. 😂 That extra switch will work and was stuck in there for modders btw.
I think I prefer the "afterlife" mode as well. The lights spinning quickly makes it seem like the cyclotron is actually moving and gives the lights a purpose. The original pack from 84 just had slowly blinking lights that didn't seem to serve a purpose. I hope they release another version of the pack made to look brand new and based entirely on the original pack, along with an 84 version of the wand.
In fact, I have that but it's not a proton pack, it's a vacuum cleaner that is used like a backpack but also works for ghost hunting. you know, Luigi's mansion 😅
For starters we can get of those 4D batteries to power it. As they don't last very long. As aproper 1:1scale proton pack uses a9volt batter as it's main powersource
Hmm perhaps you are right but if that’s the case then the bracket they made on the Neutrona wand seems to mean that they had plans for something. Otherwise no need
@@GeekCulture oh they're right - when Haslab came into Adam's video last year, they said exactly that. Definitely left the hook there for the modding community. Absolutely stoke we have an official Proton Pack, I can't stop playing mine! Subbing for more content 😎
@Geek Culture if they did something magnetic then it wouldn't make for a very good replica. The prop connects using a similar setup. It is hard to put back on while wearing the pack though.
It's a must have item, but if you didn't back it when you had the chance (Financial reasons or other) You are pretty much have to contend with resales that can be in the thousands. Which is unfortunate.
I'm upset that Hasbro didn't manufacture extras I couldn't tie up that much money to back the program at the time but was able to get one after. I'm debating on selling my wand because there is no sense having the wand without the pack
there are no words to describe how disappointed i am that this was crowdfunded only, i went on ebay and scalpers are reselling it for upwards of 2 grand, gotta love it :/
Sure I can always afford around $800 no problem 🙄 for the price you pay you figured they should have added the Alice frame witch is what im doing for my custom proton pack they got some cool mods for that pack
For $600 bucks, Really cheap that It Shuts Off after 30 seconds, so you have to constantly turn it on over and over, the power cell cover is White, Not blue or even faded blue, the red and blue tubes easily fall out and can get lost. For $600, they could have Included Alice pack frames.
Finally took mine home and stupidly stripped the fake screw on the side box (what is that bit for?) thinking it was the battery compartment. Yeah I should have looked at the poor instructions more closely! Hopefully can rebuild it a little and paint it. Or paint it enough to make it unnoticeable!
The best recommendation I can give to anybody that owns one of these invest in a set of rechargeable D batteries Energizer are the best in my opinion they seem to hold a longer charge than the Duracell and especially longer than any other off-brand
Recharagble batteries are highly flawed. Because each time that you charge them up then the less voltage output that you'll get from them because their rechargable batteries
For anybody looking for a cool way to display this okay you can get in Alice lc1 harness to connect it to off Amazon for about $60 and then you can get a mannequin a full size display mannequin from Amazon again for another $60 and then you dress the mannequin up in your cosplay uniform and put the proton pack on it if you are unhappy with the stand I quite frankly think the stand is great for what it is which is a f****** stand
The stand is not even close to the build quality of the Proton Pack and when you handle it you will know what I we mean. It’s the only thing in this set minus the Marshmallow goo attachments that feels out of place
