I have a spirit pack and I ordered this wand. I am going to try wiring the spirit pack lights to this wand instead of the small toy one that came with the pack. I have the help of an electrical engineer, so keep that in mind. I believe we should be able to split the light wires from the spirit pack into one of the toggle switches on this hasbro wand. Assuming we can get this open, We should be able to end up with the pack lights coming on when one of the power up toggles on the wand is triggered. It should be able to use the power from the wand instead of the included battery box in the spirit pack. Since these sounds are much better than the default spirit pack, I only care about syncing the lights up. The sounds from the wand will be fine enough for now. Maybe later I can wire the wand in reverse back to a larger speaker. I’ll post back here to let you know how it works. I’m also going to add an Alice frame to the spirit pack, as well as some silver weathering paint on the pack and most of the spirit props like the trap and the meter.

I hope someone at Hasbro and other licensees see what great advertising Jason is. I was going to pass until his video with the Armory guy from the movie. Now I have it pre-ordered. From the comments, I'm far from alone in that.
I ordered mine just after watching his video. I even thought of getting a second becausse I'm sure someone will do GB1 and GB video game version add ons which I'd be very into especially since the sounds are already into this blaster.
When I get mine I will definitely post it hooked up to the proton pack and I will have it power up the pack as well thank you for showing me the inside of the wand your videos are the most awesome thank you Jason
Your videos really inspired me to hunker down bite the bullet and pre-order this item. I have been going back and forth between whether or not to pre-order or wait till it was out and buy it. But with your mention of the Skyrocket at price of the previously-released Collector's Edition in 2013 as well as your detailing the many features of this release I decided to pull the trigger. I got the email that my mom was the shift soon a day or so ago and just on impulse I decided to check the website to see if there was a availability to order another one. Turns out nope they're already listed at sold out!! Thanks so much.
You could use the ic's outputs to control an arduino in a proton pack, syncing the lights and actions. I wouldn't be surprised if a proton pack becomes available in the near future.
Sadly I currently have no additional info on the wands. If I do get anything, I'll be sure to pass along the information! It'll undoubtedly be worth the wait!

That easter egg ribbon cable when you opened it up was a nice touch by the company. Most people would never even open the thing but if you do you can see the ribbon cable made to look like the back of the og pack. Bravo Hasbro
@@cyriljackal I too love the fact that it'd be easy to upgrade the wand as needed since most of the internal wires are "plug and play" with JST connectors.
I'm trying to model up the battery pack right now. I am planning on being able to connect the wand to my pack via 1/4" audio jack or something similar. Best I can find is 4-pole at the moment. That would cover audio and power/ground.
Would be great to see a few more pictures of where you said you could attach a real Clippard valve. Also can the banjos be switched out just by screwing or does the whole front barrel need splitting open?
From what I see, the barrel would likely have to be split open as I think the screws attaching the banjos are connected to nuts within. The Clippard is simply connected by just the two screws. All you have underneath is two holes within the gun box. Could easily drill out two new holes if they don't line up properly.
Ghostbusters News that’s quite good news for the Clippard. Banjos might be more tricky then which is a shame. Do you know if the green tube hex bolts are into anything?
I reserved my wand back when they first went up but I've always been unsure about it because I always regreted not getting the matty wand and I figured that was the end all be all of replicas but after your videos and how happy you look with it im super siked about it now!! Hi, love your videos!! I use your channel as my "anything ghostbusters" source. Back in Feb I ordered this wand from Hasbro pulse and when I checked the site on Sept. 1st it said that shipping was pushed back to the 16th. On September 1st I went on Gamestop.com and ordered one from there and today (Sept.3rd) its now out for delivery, only 3 days. I do believe gamestop is now sold out. Since I have 2 coming I am going to modify one and keep one pristine for display. Thanks for everything you do!!!
Great video! I got mine this morning from Zavvi (ordered back in march2020)! It's a little larger than the Matty wand... But it feels better to hold. However I feel the back handle on the Hasbro wobbles slightly indicating it's not moulded to the main body as one piece. Not sure if this will be a weak spot later on after a years Bustin! We will see... The other thing is I run my custom proton pack via the Matty wands Aux port at the rear of the handle which is dead easy to connect to my pack. Shame Hasbro could not of included an Aux feature on this amazing wand. It's well worth the money and is certainly 1 step up from the Matty and I would tell everyone to go buy one! So time will tell how I can connect this Hasbro wand to run on my proton pack... But it is freaking cool and I love it!
I do love it!!! Just got mine and attached to my spirit pack. Overall awesome. HOWEVER, i found that the wand will NOT stay POWERED on. You have to continue to play with it. SO if u want to turn it and leave it on for cosplay and walk around the wand WILL shut off. Hopefully someone will figure a way to override this switch so that it can stay powered on until manually turned off.
Preordered one the day it became available for preorder at gamestop dying for it to arrive so I can have this beauty in my hands bummed that I missed out on the matty one still would love to get one but definitely not paying the extortion prices they're going for now
I wonder how easy it would be to completely repaint the whole wand? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I’m thinking of buying a proton pack kit and using this wand but painting it to make make it my own but I’ve got zero experience when it comes to diy
Ghostbusters News I will tell you once you remove the stock clippard it will not screw back on. The screws are held in place by glue. Once they are loosened the screws will not tighten back up. Glad I ordered the real clippard to replace it since I will need to rest I’ll the mounting holes anyway.
Randall and Alison Evans I also mention that in the review. There are nuts on the other side of the screws, so if you want to reattach the Clippard, you’ll need to gain access to the interior.

The actual attachment should be easy. It’s the electronics we’re still heaving questions about. Planning to keep fans up to date as the GB community continues to modify these wands!
I found tutorial on how to rout an audio out jack our of this thing, and there was a board that would work with a matty wand audio out and sync it to the GBfans pack light upgrade kit. I wonder if that board would work with this one? Also, where can I find that board?? lol

Hey Jason, Love the channel, and the steady news! I was wondering if you’ve heard of anyone having their Spengler neutrona wand barrel crack/ break during the extending process? It looks to me like the barrel extends very fast and aggressively, and I have concerns of it becoming damaged due to this. I seen one unboxing/review where the fella said his first one broke and or cracked during the barrel extending process, Yikes!! @Ghostbustersnews
