Good afternoon! Can you please tell me, from the video I did not quite understand why you, after applying paint and varnish, erased the layer with 3000 feet? And then they again varnished. What artistic effect does it have? Sorry for my English :)

Some people online say paint red bodies silver first to prevent the red bleeding through

Do you ever thin the paint further? I have it's to thick for me and reduce the air flow to boot.
@HowAboutNo16

Looks great as usual Tom! The Grey Filler Primer - Do you thin it at all? I've had x3 Bottles/Cans of it overtime and 2/3 Times they have been waay thicker than my first, meaning they hardly come out of the airbrush (0.5mm, any psi). Thankyou

Hey love your work quick question recently got into building these an got cheep compressor and airbrush but my problem is I baught acrylic model paints and tinner humbrol I think it is but I just can't get paint mixture right it's always to watery is there ready made paints that you'd recommend I could just buy shake well then put in to airbrush so it's just right
@ahmadm.9963
@ahmadm.9963 5 лет назад
Keith Raymond I think Humbrol is not acrylic thinner. Try to get acrylic thinner, and start with a 25% thinner to 75% paint mixture. Regulate your compressor to about 15 psi, and shoot from 6-9” (15-23cm)

Beautiful work. How do you keep your clearcoat that's in the airbrush from drying out between coarts?

i just leave it be. Its a chemical reaction wich takes part over a period of over an hour.

I definitely take issue with the fact that so many companies are releasing kits that were molded in brightly colored plastic. Either they think you're too lazy to paint it, or they're just not thinking, period. White/Beige/Tan colored plastics are cheaper, to boot, so they're literally upping the price of the kit for no reason whatsoever that I can think of, unless I'm missing something. If so, please fill me in.

to small for a sunroof, it has something to do with the rally version of this kit wich has vents in the roof. They use the same mold with different inserts to make either the rally or street version

Why not wet sand?
@TheScalemodelingChannel
@TheScalemodelingChannel 5 лет назад
Why would i wet sand?
@sjsharksfan8573
@sjsharksfan8573 5 лет назад
The Scalemodeling Channel The main advantages of wet sanding is the fact that it produces less dust, longer life of the sandpaper and allows you to obtain a smoother surface compared with dry sanding. At least that’s true for full-size vehicles. I do the same for models that are painted with this type of automotive finish. I was not being critical just asking.
@TheScalemodelingChannel
@TheScalemodelingChannel 5 лет назад
@@sjsharksfan8573 i don't do it because it needs more cleanup, and i also can't see how far i am with the sanding if its all wett and glossy.
