@@andykishore There are bits of evidence here and there. Every time Squid leaves like when he moved to Squidville or when he got sent to the future/past, he always realizes in those moments that he misses SpongeBob. There are also moments he gets protective over SpongeBob as well. Squid only likes him it seems when he thinks he will never see SpongeBob again

@@andykishore There are episodes that hint that Squidward likes SpongeBob, this episode here, the one where he moves to Squidville where he feels great at first but then realizes that he misses SpongeBob, the Christmas episode where Squidward pretends to be Santa in order to make SpongeBob happy, the one where Mr. Krabs sells SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman and Squidward tells him that he should be ashamed of himself, the pizza delivery episode where Squidward stood up for SpongeBob, SB-129 where Squidward says that he misses SpongeBob. Squidward is shown as a character who is mostly annoyed by SpongeBob but does like and considers him to be a friend deep down inside. That's at least what Stephen Hillenburg and the original writers were going for in the first 3 seasons. Things changed a lot once Paul Tibbitt and new writers took over.

I can picture Dr. Doof telling this horror story to Perry or Milo Murphy and his friend like a bad time story...

I think Fear of the Krabby Patty is worse since Krabs overworked his employees without them giving them an ounce of a break in which took a mental turmoil onto SpongeBob that what he loves to do at his job became his biggest fear.
