New chapter means time for a new captain. It’s been an honour and a privilege leading @hashtagutd for the last two and a half years on the pitch but I’m also delighted to hand my armband over to one of our original players and best servants, Jack Harrison. He’s a leader and a soldier on the pitch and I believe he can take us forward in our new adventure on the English football pyramid. Congrats to Jack and Ryan Adams who’s been named Vice Captain too. Today we play our first league game in the 10th Division of English football. The future is very bright. I will continue to lead the club off the pitch alongside our amazing staff members, and I’m going to be player/manager for the Sunday League side too. I’ll by enjoying every minute of the first team action alongside you guys too as I do my best at pitch-side commentary along with some special guests throughout the season 👍🏻 Let’s go lads!!! #️⃣ I love this team!

BEN HILLIS dude he's training hard he's getting his way there. You can't expect him to be fast while your not the skinniest. Not after one training session he's the same body type as the rest it's going to take a few months so chill.

My personal opinion but I don’t think Rich Beck is that good he seems to be way slower than everyone else gets tired a lot quicker and often can’t keep the ball under control when he does win a challenge.

Off the ball work is poor, does not track and is far too slow. If you are that slow your positioning has got to be perfect.

Not sure it was poor, having seen the game. We were almost equal to a side two tiers above with an ex-Premier League player playing for them. Pretty decent tbf.

I really wish you would stop with the "ex premier league this ex premier league that" that doesnt mean anything, except the fact he is probably more technically gifted. Lua Lua is 37 years old. He is a fraction of what he once was at newcastle.

I play for Palmers FC, so obviously we have history, but the negative comments on here are unreal. Fair play to you for going to the next level and giving it a shot. Most of your friendlies have been against teams 2 divisions or more above you, so at least you're not taking the easy route. I was at this match with my step-son, as we live a minute down the road, and honestly, Tilbury were the better side, but in no way did you disgrace yourselves. Good luck in your new chapter and all the best

I Will have to be honest here but i don’t feel like hashtag is aggresive enough. When they play to the offensive mids and the attackers with a defender in their back, i just dont feel like they’re actually fighting to block the defender from taking the ball. The midfield is far away from their man too. Lots of potential this season ahead but that just how i feel by looking at the pre-season games. Don’t @ me. I would love to hear your thoughts too!
