Lets really talk about this "rat" thing. According to the FBI amd DOJ, 97% of criminal cases are solved by criminals taking plea agreements. Nobody in the community cooperates with the prosecution more than street dudes. Its time the community stops glorifying criminal culture.
If you take the plea it might be smarter to some to do offered years over the years you would get if you lost trial. this system is set up to ruin lives.
@@stack504ham Don't move the goalpost. The code of the streets dictates that any form of cooperation with the authorities is a violation, and yet 97% of street dudes do it. The prosecution don't just handout plea abargain agreements just because an offender or their lawyer asks for one. The prosecution will want to see what the offender is offering in exchange for giving a deal. That is the agreement. Certain prosecutors would even want the street dude to submit a proffer so the prosecution will see what an offender is willing to bargain in exchange for a plea bargain agreement. Hence the name. Either way, street dudes are ccoperating with the prosecution in order to obtain deals such as plea bargain agreements, 5k1 agreements, etc., and no one will be able to file a motion of discovery to see what exactly the street dude said the authorities and that allows them to say things like "ain't no paperwork on me". But you have to be mindful of men who talk like that because Pre-trial hearings, or pretrial diversions happen all of the time. As I said, nobody in the community cooperates with the prosecution more than street dudes. So we need to stop glorifying criminal culture.

When you get involved in the streets, you're supposed to be getting involved, knowing that if you get caught for something, you won't take anybody else down with you. That's why snitches are seen as cowards in the streets.
