Grand Falls is more than a tourist destination, it's a place of sustenance for Native peoples. Herman Cody grew up herding sheep across the Little Colorado River near the Adah’iilíní (Grand Falls). His dad, a Diné native practitioner, went by the name of "Hastiin Adah’iilíní," which literally means, "Mr. Grand Falls."
This film is part of "Lifeways of the Little Colorado River," a collection of 11 stories by Native voices about personal and cultural ties to the Little Colorado River. Hear more from Herman at: storymaps.arcg...
