We really enjoy keeping chickens! They're an important part of our gardening system too, they eat pests, and make fertilizer! Maybe you can reach out about them changing the rules on keeping chickens where you are? I also talked to my neighbors to make sure they were ok with it.

Thank you! We used to have an aviary with finch when I lived on the west coast! I loved watching them! The Gouldian finches were my favorite! These are a bantam breed of chicken so they will be very small eggs but they are layers and pets. My daughter and I enjoy hatching chicks so we often fill the incubator and give most of them to friends and just keep a few to add to our mixed flock. This time because they're so little we may just keep most of them. 🤣 Little half-pint chickens! Haha!

I've been really fortunate but shipped eggs are definitely a roll of the dice! I have actually gone on little road trips to avoid shipping eggs before. 🤣🐣💕

7 out of 11 is great, especially for someone new to hatching! I give all of my roosters away but I do know people that keep bachelor pads of roos because they don't fight with each other when they don't see hens.
