Im honestly very very confused as to why no one has commented this on any video showing people hatching store bought eggs. all those videos are by british or european youtubers - not a single one is American. you can only do something like this in the UK/europe. i only know about the USA and Canada, but they are refridgerated in these 2 countries because they are pasteurized by being soaked in a warm water bath first and this kills the bacteria in the egg, but since this bath removes a protective layer on the shell surface called the cuticle, and the shell is porous, it still leaves the egg prone to bacterial infection. European countries keep this cuticle layer intact and instead they either vaccinate the hens or keeping the farms closer to urban centres so transport time is shorter thus less chance of the eggs going bad upon arrival. this cuticle layer prevents infection, so the eggs dont need to be fridged.
