Fun fact. The Hatfield and McCoy families signed a mostly symbolic peace treaty in 2003...officially ending the feud between the two families. There are several articles and videos about it online. The show looked great. Hope ya'll are having a good weekend!
Pirates seems to be the favorite in our house as far as show goes, but this seemed to be the favorite when it came to the food! Thanks for sharing Debra!
My family and I love the show so much we've done the lunch and dinner shows about every day of the week for the past year now. It's a lot of fun and great food highly reccommed
I think I would get sick from eating all of that fried food. I played drums in one of the shows in Pigeon Forge years ago, but we didn't serve food. I'm glad! For the price of a ticket you could also go to the Wood Grill Buffet next door. The show was called the Tennessee Shindig. It is now called the Biblical Times. Our band leader went to play banjo at the Dinner Fued for years but has since moved back to Henderson. Fun times but the entertainment industry is an ever changing scene in a tourist area like Pigeon Forge. Thanks for sharing your experience.
We loved this show and the food was awesome, really loved the barbeque and I loved the all you eat here, we have been to all 3 shows and liked the Pirates show the best but Hatfield and McCoys food better, thanks y'all, God Bless
Two questions....I know this show is interactive. Is there a place to sit where neither family will bother you? Also, if you don't want to take the "Hatfield" side or the "McCoy": side, is there a neutral place where you can sit?
My husband and I love this place as well as my Son and his family. It's my favorite Dinner show in Pigeon Forge. The food is delicious to. Love the Smokey Mountains Period. Hope to be there in October. ❤ ❤
It is definitely worth it. I love their pudding. I want there about two years ago. It was worth it. You should go. I’m not gonna read it on whatever it’s called. Google, but I give it five out of five stars.
You read my mind!!! We have been discussing a show for our trip! It was between this and pirates! Do you have a pirates video? ☠️ Thank you for your wonderful information 😊
We don't have a Pirates video up yet, but will get one in the future. The same discounts I explain in this video apply to Pirates. That is our kids favorite in the area. Glad to help Jana!
Which of the 3 shows is the best for a group with no kids? Best food? Just curious! First time to pigeon forge in October. We're so excited! Appreciate your video reviews; they're helping us plan!
Pirates is great for kids, but Brie & I both love it a lot! We think H&M has the best food between the 3, the stampede if great if you love horses. We hope this helps Becca!
It looks like fun. But I can't justify spending $70 for food and a show. But that's just me. However I did see Medieval Times in my local city. Price was much much cheaper than $70. I thoroughly enjoyed that.
It's not a eat while you watch the show as much as it is an eat before the show. You can hold on to some of your food, but we suggest getting there early to your assigned seat to start eating so you don't feel rushed.
@@AdventureIsOutThere so even though the show is at 5 you are served dinner whenever you get there beforehand? I have only been to dinner shows where it is eat during the show or breaks in the show, so I am a bit confused.
I was there one time, and I did enjoy the show but what I didn’t enjoy it that way tables are placed you have to turn your neck sideways to watch the entire show. Also that particular night the food was overcooked, The chicken was actually hard and a little chard. I don’t know if there was a shortage of cooks or what was going on that night. I do like Dixie stampede but I haven’t been to Pirates yet.
We have heard people buy off knockoff sites & get scammed. Direct would always ensure they are authentic. There may be some are legit such as Groupon, we just can’t recommend any from experience.
So what did your kids think of the show? I didn't see their feedback at the end of the video.Where do they place this show in comparison to Stampede and Pirates?
There are 2 person tables, it must have been filled up when you went to make a reservation. The dinner shows are things we highly recommend getting as far in advance as possible.
Wow, the cost is outrageous IMO. I live in Dandridge and I could Never afford to enjoy any of our local attractions and shows. Thankyou for letting me live vicariously through you
Same. We are headed to there next week and I was checking it out. Looks sorta fun, but for 70 dollars a person (plus tip, I assume), I think it's hard pass.
I took my entire family at the end of March 13 of us from ages 6 months to 65 years We all loved the show and the food were all fabulous I have never seen a child that young squeal and bounce and have that much fun We all did Thanks so much
This is a helpful review thank you for posting this comment. I am planning a trip for many ages, for sure ages 1, 2, 9 through 56, but possibly also our 76 year old grandparents. I am a little cautious that the toddlers wont be able to sit through it (understandably so).
I saw this recently. It’s definitely a family oriented show. However, the group I was in was mostly young adults and none of us really cared for it. If you have kids, they’ll have fun with it but I don’t know about going alone as adults. Some of the show is almost PBS levels of playing to the children in the audience.
That's the vibe I was getting from the video, appreciate the comment. G/f and I will be down there in a few weeks, no kids, and it's pricey. Seems the money would be better spent on things we'd get more out of.
After seeing all 3 the kids still said their favorite was Pirates. Stampede seems to be #2. This is not bad, it just seems to take the #3 slot against the other 2. I think it has the best food among those 3. I hope this helps Scott! ~Ryan
@@AdventureIsOutThere It does, thanks!! My brother's family is visiting in two weeks, and I'm doing a bunch of research to make their stay great! Your videos have been very helpful as part of my research! I haven't been to the area since 1995-6 when I lived in Newport and Morristown..
Great video! What ended up being the consensus for all of you-can you rank Stampede, Pirates, and this? I am curious which one my almost 4 year old will like best :)
I know cost has gone up on so many things with inflation. I tried my best to research and include every possible discount available for Hatfield & McCoy to hopefully help families that would like to go to this or one of the other dinner shows in Pigeon Forge Walton.
@@AdventureIsOutThere 69.00 for meal and dinner show that would be ok but for me 166.00 for two is way out there for me , i would say 34.00 a person would be better in my thinking. i know live performers like to get paid too. i want be going to hatfield and mccoys on my vacation
@@janasheets890 been to magic kingdom twice want to go to epcot , we are going to pigeon forge for the first time real soon , we are checking on attractions and places to eat as well
Whatever your time is, remember they start serving an hour early & also let them know if you're going to want refills. This show is different, in that they clean up early & you don't eat while the showing is happening.
Our pleasure Marilyn, we hope it helps other families get a better idea of what Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud is like and if they want to go here, Pirates or Stampede!
Ok so, I was on a history channel where the host features many different battles that have happened throughout history among other things and subjects, but this particular video they were in a cemetery talking about the Hatfield and McCoy feud (featuring one of the Hatfield family members who was not apart of the feud) but did not elaborate what it was and I had never heard of it before but the tone they used made it seem like it was just another battle like their other content would suggest. So when I looked up the feud, I was not expecting what I found; this video and others like it haha😂. However, if this feud began many years ago under different circumstances and has a deeper meaning, then I would also love to hear that side of the tale. I'm happy to see the creative way to have a literal "family" feud but it does make me wonder the origins considering where I saw the original video mentioning the feud. 😊 Sorry for the long comment.
Have footage, haven't edited & uploaded. Pirates is the kids favorite, overall best show. H&M has best food. Stampede is also fun for anyone who loves horses.
We are traveling to the area very soon and I was wondering if this would be worth the price for us (2 parents, 5 kids-so it’s EXPENSIVE for all of us!) Thanks so much for the review. I have a random question if you have time to answer-I’ve been keeping an eye on the weather and it looks like it rains (or a chance of rain!) every single day near Gatlinburg. Does it rain a lot?? We planned on hiking, water parks, rafting, etc, and I’m worried about all the rain in the forecast!
With kids we would do the Pirates Dinner Show as that is their favorite. If the price is going to stress your budget, I wouldn't force it. At $70/ticket I might lean towards spending $84 for an entire day at Dollywood & even add Dollywood Splash Country for $10 more. Pottery House is a great little place in PF you could get kids meals very reasonable - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OnYy0-1Hyao.html As far as rain goes, we moved here from Tampa, FL and am used to very bad lightning storms (we have a professional hockey teamed named Lightning). I don't find the weather here as dangerous/bad IMO. If you are at a water park/rafting you would already be wet, so some showers don't really throw us off our plans. They do get other people to not go out which ends up being really nice day. This video highlights this 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vtlmgZYhy9Q.html I hope this helps SSBF!
@@AdventureIsOutThere I appreciate the advice!! We’re definitely thinking Splash Country-I just know our Six Flags here in St Louis shuts down for the entire day if there’s even a projection of a rainstorm in the forecast so I was wondering if it’s really as rainy as the weather channel makes it sound there. Lol 😆 Our rafting people at Big Bear told us they still go in the rain, which we’re fine with!! And we’re familiar with the TB Lightning! Almost won AGAIN this year. 😜 Let’s go BLUES! Lol 😂💙💛 Thanks for all the videos-I’m currently binging the playlist on hiking in GSMNP. Don’t mind me if I keep popping up in your comments! Found you when I was looking up videos on Buc ee’s, actually! Subscribed.
Folks don't forget you tax bill added to you restaurant bill. The 9.75% sales tax rate in Sevierville consists of 7% Tennessee state sales tax and 2.75% Sevier County sales tax. Approximately $229.00 dinner tab including tax for a family of four.
We plan on being there during Christmas. It’s a toss up between the Stampede or H&M. 2 adults & 2 16 year olds. In your opinion which one is the best out of the 2?
@@patrickacox I am a VERY slow eater (especially if I am trying to film). Our waiter was great and just left us more than enough food to eat before the service ended. I was able to continue to eat throughout the show.
I was there in April and went to this and Dollys Stampede. Both were excellent. I liked the Stampede a little bit better than this. On a side note the Titanic Exhibit was definitely worth it. Enjoy your vacation!!
I have a feeling there is going to be more "God is great" and "'Merica!" vibe in the Stampede. Would rather go to the show with LESS of that sort of thing, though it is probably hard to avoid that in that neck of the woods.
The problem with this show compared to pirates or stampede is that the others stretch the meal out through the show. This one rushes you through the meal before the show starts because your servers are involved in the show production. We definitely recommend the pirate show over this one.
Been the the pirate show, the show was very good, the food was meh. I heard this show has the best food by far. Have friends that been to all three and said there’s no comparison, Hatfield and McCoy has the best food.
@@AdventureIsOutThere going Monday to see those Smokey Mountain fall time trees 🍁. We talked about going to this show, only been to the pirate. Maybe wait until our summer trip next year to go. I think we will be focusing on driving through the mountains to see the fall colors next week.
Over the years I've been to every single dinner show in Pigeon Forge. Hatfield's is definitely one of my favorites. However the "All you can eat" is a complete LIE! I'm a fat man & came hungry. They pass out food only ONCE. And I had to basically beg them for a drink refill. I did manage to get at least half way full, but still left hungry & disappointed with the food. But I did enjoy the show.
This is a place I would definitely be there as soon as the doors open and start eating right away. Our server came back multiple times and asked if we wanted any more of anything in particular. They never took my food away as I eat slow, but they will stop service once the official show begins.
@@AdventureIsOutThere I did get there early before the show started. But they didn't serve the food until about 5-10 minutes before the show began. If there gonna say "All you can eat" then they should continue serving food at least half way through the show. Most people are done eating half way through.
@@billybob-ro6qf sorry to hear, we didn't have that problem. There was a lot of time from when they served & the show started for us. Our server asked us before they stopped service if there was anything else he could bring us more of.
This is awesome to see. Since we have no desire to ever go to DisneyWorld again, we will certainly miss shows like the Hoop-De-Doo Revue. But Dollywood is even closer than Orlando and this show appears to be just as good.
Hi again Ryan and Brie... Thank you so much for sharing this fun adventure Hannah looks adorable in her glasses Always luv how Micah always reaches for the veggies (coleslaw this time) Have a fun evening Surie
Thanks for the video! We are wanting to go but have someone with epilepsy. Hoping you can answer this question. Are there a lot of flashing/strobe lights?
