Alright, I won’t lie. I used to be one of the meanies who would bash anime. I wasn’t rude to people who watched it UNTIL ONE DAY. I was on a group chat with some peeps and they’re talking about anime. I stay out of it for the most part until one of them asked if I was a fellow weeb. I said no, I don’t enjoy anime and they asked if I’d ever seen any anime. I said no, and they told me to check out a trailer for one anime they thought was super good, Your Lie in April. (I ended up watching it and I was blown away.) Anyways, I watched the trailer and started bashing it until one of them called me out and told me I was stupid and kinda racist for not liking something just because it was of Japanese origin. I explained how I didn’t like romance and they told me it’s never one genre and to stop being so narrow minded. I thought about what they said for the next few weeks and eventually went on to Netflix and watched an anime (The Promised Neverland and I was so blown away. Even if you don’t like anime or whatknot, it’s still a great show by normal show standards) and soon became hooked. I ended up watching YLIA and really liked it. Since then I’ve watched a few more anime’s and have found that it’s stupid to judge something just because someone else who has never seen it said it’s weird. I ended up apologizing to the people who helped me see this don’t worry.

The only anime I've watched is a bit of Pokémon and I liked it, a lot. But I haven't seen a lot since I don't know where to find the rest XD same for other animes, I haven't seen them on Netflix and am too lazy and poor to find/pay for whatever other platform they're on (I've heard some people say that Pokémon is not technically an anime, but I'm just going to consider it an anime)
