I have NEVER cried over a sports team. I get excited. The Atlanta Braves wins the World Series. Very excited. But when I see Bennett cry I had tears in my eyes. We have watched Alabama take many Championships from us Bulldogs. But NOT this time.

Not going to lie when I saw Stetson starting crying I lost it..41 years of heartbreaks & disappointment,it was worth it.the national championship Georgia bulldogs that sounds so good.

Our phrase for folks like Stetson is Damn Good Dawg. SB4 is the definition of a DGD and will never pay for another drink the rest of his life in the state of Georgia. So happy for the kid. I doubted him as much as anyone and he just continued to deliver when it matters the most.

I was a JT guy all year Kirby and my Dawgs proved me wrong and I'm so glad. Stetson will forever be a legend in georgia he's a damn good dawg. Love the show rich. Monday night was one of the best nights of my life.

Very tired of hearing commentary, "... Alabama would have won had they not lost..." This team has 3rd string players that could dominate most teams. One player does not define a team like Alabama. Congratulations Georgia!

All I heard all season from Dawgs fans was how Georgia could not win the National Championship with Stetson Bennet at quarterback. That's the best thing about the win for me.

I'm ashamed to admit I was one of those fans. Then he went out and played his two best games in the playoffs. The fourth quarter against Bama was a thing of beauty. To be fair, he was rattled against Bama in their previous games. He finally put it all together this year this year though. I always thought he was a dgd, but he is a pretty good qb too. I can't imagine the pressure with all the hate. Go Dawgs!

Stetson besides one play played damn nearly flawless football.. he was clutch when it counted... UGA linebackers were badasses.. nakobe dean is a bad young man .. Bennet has a decent deep ball arm which makes ya think why they didn't throw the ball deep alot during the regular year .. Kendrick can officially say he's undefeated vs saban in the national title game.. (2018/19 Clemson- 2021 /22 UGA).. congratulations UGA you deserve it ..no more 1980 jokes..

Actually he had quite a few bad plays but who's counting, right? He made plays when it counted and that defense was incredibly good last night. The WHOLE team made plays when they needed and thank goodness because I sure got the feeling the refs were paid off!

For those who legitimately do not know, in the South it is (or was) common to give a wife's maiden name as the first name to one of the kids (usually a son, but not always) to keep her family's name going within her own household. That's how most of those "Last name as first name" got introduced, and that's probably how the first Stetson Bennett got named.

Stetson actually beat the Heisman trophy winner Bryce Young in passer rating for the year, and destroyed him in rushing yard average (4.6 yards per rush to 0.0 yards). Unfortunately, the Heisman trophy is given out before the real deal goes down.

I think Stetson Bennett should be a priority for USFL to get and I think he's a great fit in that league and great development. And if USFL and XFL merge all the better. But you can't be a league and go about getting talent like a Johnny Manzel at qb, washed up players and players you ain't never heard about and think people will stick around.
