All SERIOUS work equipment used Detroit engines. Military vehicles, dump trucks, and crew boats. Seems everyone today are scared to work on them. Or maybe it's because I'm old?
They do not teach 2 stroke diesels in trade school now. The Detroit as we know if stopped production because it could not meet EPA emission standards. Two stroke outboards went the same direction - GONE!
I remember the BUDAs, both the large model and the smaller model. Both were 6 cylinders. The bigger BUDA was in a US ARMY T BOAT, Ashepoo. @@walterdavis4808
