Hi there, and welcome. In today's video I head out in the sunshine to a hospital appointment and meet a cute Newfoundland. Then I head to the farm, where I tell you about my disappointment with the Rheumatologist being so uneducated about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

That's what really irritates me about doctors. If they don't know about a problem, then just say so. Be human about it.

I have RA, but i am lucky i mainly only suffer from fatigue and only have to take methotrex on a friday. I visited one guy who the hospital claimed was the top Rheumatolgist in the area the guy was just rude, and couldn't even read a scan properly. The knickle on your little finger is worn away he tells me. Oh the one that is clearly visable and not worn away, even i could see from the scan it clearly wasn't. I got so fed up of them just increasing my tabs everytime i had a twinge i just kept saying i'm fine, fit as a fiddle.

Sorry about your Rheumatology experience, it sounds like there are some pretty crappy ones around! Thanks for sharing your story with me. I hope you're doing well now

Hatty Hide i have since rang up a company called connect which is based in Newcastle, but says will sort out an appointment for me in 6 months time in my local hospital. If i hadn't of got intouch i wouldn't of found out. They were supposed to contact me.
