Hello and welcome back to our Transport Fever 2 series!
We're back in Scotland today on our Race To The North map where we're going to be deploying some more freight trains to haul cargo faster and more efficiently! We're not producing enough planks to fill the needs of the machines and tools factory, and the lack of lumber is the problem.
We're going to construct some railways for the transportation of lumber, as well as improve some of our bus connections to the cities to hopefully drive down private car usage. This will mean the goods which currently come by road should get there quicker too!

A 4 lane piece of road just before the new freight station @ 27:22 might speed things up - the turning traffic should stay in the middle lane, while the iron ore trucks should go through in the rh lane... fingers crossed ;)

At Sterling east I suggest putting one way roads in and out of the truck stop so its more efficient

idea: next time you are going to move a train to the north, just spawn a fast train at the depot and change it when it is at edinburgh

The swiss only electrified the network this early because they didn't have coal or oil and had to import it. The electrification happend in the 1920-1940 when diesel traction didn't really exist. If they would have done it 10-20 years later, they wouldn't have electrified the entire network. Switzerland uses 15kV 16.7Hz AC power like Germany and Austria but Switzerland uses different Pantograph which is not compatible with Germany and Austria. The Ce 2/2 SchSt Tram is a swiss tram it used to run in the city of Schaffhausen until the tram network closed.

Tips: Build a Depot in Glasgow; Call It north Brittish, they were quite the Loco builders even building loco's for Australia Change the Wood Locomotives. If this were BR steam era then perhaps scotsman would be on freight duty, but never in LNER days. Change it to GNR Gresley O2 2-8-0 or that LNER B17 4-6-0 you just unlocked. Change all expresses from London that are serving the ECML or would be run by LNER to the A1 (scotsmann types) loco's. For Midland/LMS expresses go with that 'Royal Scott you just unlocked' or wait untill the Black 5's get here early 1930's. (If you think this in modern times: you are using a HST motorcar to haul logs and using class 37's for all your expresses out of london while you could use class 66's and various modern day LNER class 8xx's)

27:35 put both iron ore and coal to that station you put in so that the iron ore trucks won't get in the way of the steal trucks, at least then, you can put the original station back to a single in/out instead of having two

Hey Joe! Love your videos. Will you be doing any videos on the new City Transport Simulator: Tram game that releases early access next week? I’m looking forward to some perspectives on the game seeing as the devs did so well with TramSim.

Hi Grievousarmy4061! I am definitely going to be covering the new City Transport Simulator next week don't you worry! :D I'm hoping they'll have properly tested it prior to sending it out to us, as TramSim Munich was virtually unplayable when it first came out. Fingers crossed!! :D

National Express haven't run the buses in Dundee for nearly 3 years Joe, it's now Xplore Dundee, part of the McGills Group. Your railway station and Tay Bridge are totally in the wrong places but I'm not going to complain, I'm just happy to see Dundee in the game :)
