What I took from this video: Too many moronic parents don’t care enough about their kid’s (or their own) lives to make them wear life jackets. There should be a massive fine for boat drivers for this.

this is what we call natural selection. We interfere with it far too much. There should be NO laws that inhibit natural selection. If people are so uncaring about the safety of their own kids let them be.

@@79kraizy The 'Karens' are the people who have never been on a boat and know that wearing a life jacket should be mandatory for safe and fun boating. This channel has so many people on it who wouldn't know the first thing about boating it is quite amazing. Still plenty to make the annual Darwin Awards..

If I was a Chiropractor, I'd set up a 24 hour emergency clinic within a mile of this channel. It would be like printing money. A little back crack here, a couple herniated disks there promises long term clients waiting for operations and single visit or short term emergency care cases lined up at the door. Ka-Ching!!!

I was going to scream if the boat with the baby didn't turn around. I just can't believe literally NO ONE is wearing a PFD in all these shots. I also want to cry when I see the family pet dog included too in these outings.

Also without a PFD. Heck, ours has one and we don’t own a boat - he’s 100+ lbs and we spend a lot of time around water so it’s easier just to keep one that fits in the car for when the opportunity presents itself. Took a bit of looking to find one for him.

Everyone taking a boat out here should first be forced to view a few hours of your footage. Caught myself cussing when the guy had the baby out front. Glad he dropped the beer and not the kid.

He did, after that heart drop betting he told his buddy back at calm water that hed walk from there, im 40 and myself personally yes i do a run thru it however id leave kids home and any adults wear a vest or cant board, this inlet looks like just about any bad situation is very possible for everyone, even the 100ft ships get it too,i bet the china cabinets a mess

As a kid on Lake Erie many years ago, in a small sailboat, figured we’d go outside the harbor because it was flat calm and not much wind. Got just outside the break walls, looked up, wave swell as high as my head right there, and it was all mixed up, not neatly organized rollers.. Turned around and noped right back into the harbor as fast as we could. 🤣

i suspect by August there are gonna be a lot of Go Fast boats for sale (at a loss no doubt). Gas prices aren't going anywhere but UP. I paid $120 to put 15 gallons into my pickup a couple of weeks ago, gonna hate to see what it costs to fill up my boat with diesel.

For someone who's not a boater can anyone explain how you're supposed to properly exit this inlet?

Not sure about this particular inlet, but you have a river meeting a tide. Best to wait until slack tide if possible. If you are going through these though, the danger isn't the height its the frequency. They are really close together and coming from multiple angles. The best thing to do is to reduce power so you have enough to safely navigate, but you don't want excessive speed. You also want to attack the waves at an angle rather than head on. Typically, waves are best dealt with headon, but when they are this close together you can swamp your boat if you do that. Hitting them at an angle will prevent your bow from taking on water. Of course having a proper boat always helps too.

wonder how many of the vessels get stress cracks in the hulls? like many mentioned, ya think one would have all aboard wearing PFD's. one day you will get on vid persons going overboard and not be seen, possibly hit by another vessel.

Why do these guys go straight up the middle, why not on either side, depending going out or coming in?. I have had many boats over the years one being a 32 ft Bayliner 3288 I never when straight into rip tide waves, always took the easy side. Viewing from Western Canada.

7 marine engines were out of air emission regulation standards and bringing it dows to regulation would cost huge investment while the prices were not competitive with the others.
