I can't remember exactly, but there's a version K and M, and I believe version K was extremely unforgiving, as it takes away 80% of your health just by bumping into a skeleton at stage 1. Version M is little better, and almost plays like the classic Castlevania in terms of difficulty.
same here, like if i took the helm for the new castlevania game, There'll be some big fat love letters to everything, Heck, i might make it the Demon Castle War game that every vania fan needs, oh and also its a metroidvania obiously, with a Morris Desendant being the shopkeeper.
I dont know about yall, but Dracula's final assault was creepy. The animations where nuts. Im actually very impressed with it. Very aggressive looking.
Pretty hilarious in hindsight when you realize that Phantom Blood could be seen as Castlevania mixed with Fist of The North Star. Simon is straight up channeling Hamon energy.
M2 returning to the series 14 years after Castlevania Rebirth was released with a remake of Haunted Castle was certainly not something i was expecting.
Holy crap they made this look BEAUTIFUL! The final boss being changed was nice surprise as well. Now I can actually enjoy this game without pulling my hair out!
Just watched someone trying to play the OG version, and it made Enchanted Portals look polished by comparison. This not only looks playable, but it looks GOOD.
@@bigoof9654 yup m2 made this and it definitely looks like the same engine, I hope Konami gives them an opportunity to remake older titles since they clearly know how to make classicvania games
I would love a surprise extra collection of the underrated titles like belmonts revenge remade in this kinda style. And since M2 is at it again, please free Adventure Rebirth from the Wii… I gotta hand it to M2 that they’ve been doing a lot to preserve games recently, making their own special versions of arcade games (annoyingly mostly JP consoles only) and even making entirely new ones in dormant series like Aleste and… well, this.
Nice run. On one hand it's nice to have a game that's not super challenging to 1cc but I kinda wish there were some more difficulty settings as 'Hard' didn't feel that much tougher than the standard difficulty. Game looks, sounds and feels awesome tho!
In the original game’s ending, she’s right next to Simon - but all you can really see is her bridal veil flowing in the wind. For years I mistook it for a river or something. :u
The original game was not only Brutal but had Death/Grim Reaper as the BOSS before Dracula this remake replaced the Grim Reaper boss with Frankensteins Monster instead.
Too bad super castlevania 4, castlevania chronicles and castlevania symphony of the night did not got a "revisited" version. i woul have loved to see them with better graphics, better movement and if posible with new weapons.
@@gingataisen yeah I didn't notice till it the video was up for a few hours lol i wasn't happy so I did recorded hard mode as a way to fix that mistake
Simon moves way slower, and his animations look pretty funky. This isn't really as good as adventure rebirth, and that was slower than stuff like Rondo and Bloodlines as is.
@derektereve286 I'll be happy when something as good as Rondo or Bloodlines finally drops. Games better than shit from before time had a name should be the standard we hold Konami to. This isn't even better than Adventure Rebirth
Horrible scanned and cutout BS gfx and 3d models mixed with poor 2d gfx. Where is the beauty and magic of original game? UNPURE CRAP. And a Schwarzenegger with a whip????
