Theres definitely an odd feeling in the costume rooms under the auditorium. Just get a creepy feeling everytime im down there

current student there: absolutely. i’m a theater kid, and definitely i get a creepy feeling like i’m not alone down there. also being in band, the band room doesn’t bother me or the hallway leading to the costume rooms, it’s just those stairs and the costume rooms. i always make sure someone comes with me because i hate going down there alone. glad to know i’m not the only one lmao

I witnessed a cowboy walking across the street by the Ixtapa restaurant in The Dalles years ago, and he disappeared like a vapor, creepy stuff.

Yeah, it's an old town, your destined to at least see one ghostly apparition if you live there. ESPECIALLY in old apartment buildings. I have some old halloween photos of me and my siblings when I was around 7 or 8, and there were hundreds of orbs(what spirits look like durring travel, like little white or transparent balls) in those photos... I guess that's why I never feel alone at night...

The dungeon is the sort of basement part of the school, it’s where all the metal and wood works is, thus “The Dungeon”. Also the pool wasn’t completely filled in, it’s a storage room. I’ve never heard of a student overdosing in the bathroom but I do know one student passed away in the CrossFit/Gym area from using weights too big. He was taken by ambulance but the teacher who witnessed it (still at the school) says he died here. And yeah I remember being told no one actually drowned in the pool, it was just expensive to upkeep. And for more tragedy’s with Highschool students, there is a memorial outside, a bench, made in memorance of Alex Paul Maney who passed away 2017, age 15.

Wow, The Dalles High School has really had it rough. Thank you for the additional information! There were actually more articles I found that didn't list the student name - Alex's case was one of those. I've been looking into the weight lifting death after you mentioned it, but I haven't found any records of that at all. Of other weight lifting deaths in Oregon, but not in The Dalles. I'll keep digging though. Thanks again for posting!

@@InvestigatingtheNWhe guy died from a brain aneurysm, and a teacher described what happened vividly... The school isn't too bad, besides terrible heaters, no air conditioning in half the school, and dying in summer time from the boiler room heating the school, but the drama will always surprise you. I don't know of it being haunted, but it probably is. You can check out Watonka on saturday I think for some history of the schools around, they have everything there. You should make a video showing that. It has more evidence then I can give you. - a TDHS student

I attended between 1982 and 1985. No ghost stories, and if I’m being honest the geography of the campus is a bit jumbled in my mind after nearly forty years. I will clarify that there was a basement area on the east side where the band room and teachers lounge were. I was a band geek and my friends and I would often have lunch down in the hallway outside of the band room. We weren’t supposed to go any further down the hall towards the teachers lounge. I also had an opportunity to crawl around in the attic at one point. It was partially used for storage from what I recall. No ghosts spotted or sensed there or anywhere else.

The dungeon is the basement where the woods and mechanics rooms are it's the part of the building that was built later on in the 70s that you didn't mention. It's where all the art rooms and woods and mechanics and computer and cooking rooms are.

Just to let you know there was a group of students who investigated the story & apparently one of them got “possessed” by the ghost & then tried to go to the river but his friends stopped him not a lot of people knew about this but some think this was bullshit well others believe it I just wanted to let you know

You should go to Watonka on saturday to the historical area of the school on saturdays in july, august, or september. They have alot of vintage clothes, newspaper, and other stuff. I think you can actually buy some stuff. My mom bought a book that has everyone's photos in it of my dad and my oldest bro. It's through 10:00am to 3:00pm in the afternoon. Please make a video going there! You could probably do a vlog if you asked nicely. Please make a vid or vlog going there and looking at everything! ❤

There were several students who had died during the time i attended The Dalles High School from 1988 to 1992 A couple were due to suicide and the other few students who died had to due with medical reasons and 1 car accident that i know of . There have been quite a few since then but out of respect for their families i wont mention any names.
