When you swatched and the two shades were too deep I got so excited. Haus labs definitely did that.

At first I was like, "that's way too dark for you". Which... isn't that an awesome problem to have?! Like when do we ever see a dark skinned beauty guru find a foundation that's "too dark"?! But you're right, the concealer and everything balanced it all out. It's amazing! : O Lady Gaga really surprised me. I have 4 little sisters and a little cousin and I always buy them make up and etc cuz I like to spoil them! The little cousin is a bit darker than us and I primarily follow your channel because they always hang out and try different makeup together and nothing sucks as much to me as when I see them all trying out different things and our cousin feels left out. Ordered this one right away after seeing this. After watching the Ariana video thing for example. I didn't want my sisters playing around with the concealer and then here's our cousin trying to mix and create a match for her using the black one. Like how does that make any girl feel like she's being included? Here's 4 girls just putting on makeup and there's her on the side mixing furiously to belong? Now this is how you include people. And I don't care how good a product is, we "vote" with our money. Everyone can't enjoy it then no buying!

I love that a dark skinned woman got the 2 darkest shades of a foundation brand and they were both too dark for her!

I love how realistic their shades and undertones are. I struggle to find olive shades that are actually olive and theirs is a perfect match. Literally just looks like my skin.

I'm litteraly as pale as a sheet of paper but I love to see that this shade was too dark for you! That's not a problem we often see :)

I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a foundation be considerably deeper than your skin - and it isn’t even the deepest shade! Come on with it, other brands, obvi it can be done.

You should try the shades as a liquid contour! I know thats not what they're for but the undertones seemed so realistic

I looked at their website and they have utra pale with neutral undertone, 000. It is also kinda rare, I often have to stick with cool shades if any very light foundations are avaliable at all. They really care for everybody.

Mine just came! I got 560, which is described as neutral but has peach undertones. I always saw peach as cool toned (which is what I am.) Nonetheless, from the one time I put it on, it's basically my skin tone in a bottle (but slightly darker.) It makes me happy that the shade is deeper than you. They actually made a shade range with real depth!

I think it’s insane but it also makes sense that celebrity owned brands are doing better than well established make up brands. Between Haus Labs, Rare Beauty and Fenty we have more options than we used to. It somehow makes sense that celebrities who are new to the game, and with the times, are doing better than brands that are possibly stuck in their ways.

Am really dark in complexion and I find it very difficult to find my foundation shade in my country😢so I decided to stop using makeup till I find it and it’s not been easy😭but I won’t give up searching till I find my shade😌

Wow! This is a perfect example of "Trust the process". It is always great to see a line that includes a wide array of colors/tones for those who have difficulty finding something that works. The texture is also beautiful.

I recently found your videos and I love them! You have such style and skill with what you do! Also you have a gorgeous speaking voice as well as being completely gorgeous. I don’t think I have ever seen you review a foundation and not use either the darkest or second darkest shade. It is both astonishing and heartening that these shade ranges now exist and I can only hope that everyone continues to make it more inclusive! You make a very interesting point about the benefits of a darker foundation when balanced with a full face of make up. Especially compared to the balancing act trying to do the same with a too light foundation. Obviously the ideal is to have your perfectly matched shade but that isn’t an easy ask no matter if you are deep or light. But all that aside, it is easier to use a shade deeper than your skin for a make up look than it is to do the opposite. Which makes it so much more important to have deeper and deeper shades so that anyone and everyone who wants to wear make up can wear a shade that works for them. The trick of darker foundation and then balancing up from their has benefited me hugely over the years as someone on the opposite end of the spectrum from you. I generally wear MAC NC5, most brands don’t go pale enough for me. But I can make that one shade too deep work and that has always worked to my benefit and I know how privileged that makes me. But I will never forget what a MAC artist told me when I was disappointed that the palest shade they had in stock was NW15, which is 2 shades deeper and one colour family over than my natural skin tone. “You are lucky you are so pale with this problem of using the wrong undertone. There is not enough pigment in these pale shades to make much of a difference to anyone just glancing. People with deep skin have to find the correct colour match perfectly. And if the undertone is wrong with that much pigment then the foundation can be completely unusable.” So I wish you the very best with your incoming golden undertone foundation!

Hooho this goes deep alright I'm just a dark-deep and I'm so excited . Just from how the bottles Iooked I can feel that they might have cool shades too . I love when the foundation is a bit darker too . When it oxidize mama it's gana look lighter , but it's like your skin . I have been suffering a lot with this , I still have not found that shade that won't leave me looking like a 👻 by the end of the day.

Heyyyyy 🥰 besides your personality, this is one of the reasons I watch you. I love seeing it when there are in fact shades, that are to deep for you. 👏🏾 even tho, this is sometimes stressing me out. But seeing too deep shades with good undertones is proof time and time again, that it's doable. It also helps me to decide on which brands I'm willing to spend my money. Because why do some of them only have 2 or 3 deep shades. 👏🏾what👏🏾was👏🏾the👏🏾reason👏🏾 (changeling my inner Cardi B) 😅 I too think that maybe 360 would bea better match. This one looks still a little deeper than your neck. But you definitely know how to balance it out
