whoever done that one years ago, done the knot the wrong side. The cord is suposed to run up the chanel in the weight. On the crappy weights you can do a blood or bowline, just be sure it can't get in the pulley. But at the end of the day, if painters didn't exist, all the sash windows ever made would still be working :D
