Has Enshrouded Just Teased its NEXT Update?!

I have no idea whats coming next! I would love the mountain biome! I'm also looking forward to editable signs so I can better label things in game!

My take: Ancient vaults for normal NPCs that were put to sleep up there to save them from the shroud and ensure they survive until the time comes for them to be woken up and re populate the world. Once you unlock them you get npcs strolling around your builds

Sky Islands or Snowly Mountains are the biomes I can't wait to see in Enshrouded.

I'm thinking they might release Mountain Biome with a snow area and possibly water. Imagine mountain streams coming down from the mountain. And then release of Sky Islands around Christmas time. I hope Sky Islands has a more fairytale magical feel. A beautiful place where some townsfolk have escaped to but are now under threat and we need to save them. Hopefully new crafters in both areas.

The wizard NPC is a good idea

I would like to see some like legendary hunts or more fauna. Something like a legendary boar you have to hunt down, and then you could mount its head on the wall. The Wispwyvern fight is so iconic, and I think they will be adding more unique encounters like that. Once the game has fully released and there are so many more biomes, that would be a great way to revitalize the starter areas like Vale and Springlands.

since hotfix #15 I've randomly been hearing occasional cracks of thunder mixed into the background sounds of the wind and animal cries. My money is on the weather system coming with the mountain biome next. I'm also hoping for a new flying enemy or two and maybe a snowy Vukah.

I think the island is the Mountains Spire - large structure flanked by smaller towers as is the pattern, and they function partially as glide points for the biome. How would one glide above high mountains, if not from either the highest peak, or something floating above? Alchemist seems to function as our magic guy already, so I dunno if we'd get another magic NPC, or what we'd get it not. Keen have said they were largely inspired by Breath of the Wild, so Tears of the Kingdom follows naturally. Doubt they'd so closely mimic the Zonai islands. Although I'd happily see them roughly use the same idea of landmasses lifted into the sky to escape troubles on the ground, and yeah as you said that's an easy path to implementing townsfolk. Personally I wonder if they could use the Scavengers - they're human, just warped by Elixir use. Maybe we could rehabilitate them, like Minecraft zombie villagers.

My money is the sky city will be just that a city kinda broken apart. The smaller floating islands will be separate from the main big one because of infighting over the years. They are floating because they are ruled by mages who saved all these people. The big one will be the friendly NPCs while the smaller ones will be hostile. You'll be able to get up there via portals that only the flameborn can go through like the spires hence why they are stuck up there unsure if its safe down below yet. The end of the sky biome questline will enable the NPCs to go down an populate some areas of the map in towns kind of retaking some areas, maybe even quests helping them take and rebuild some areas that the scavengers had controlled.

i went there, took some doing. it looks like spires to me with the tower on the top most one. i'm expecting a shepherd for the ranching on the road map.

I have no idea what's coming next, Regarding the mountains though, I'd like to see weather, introduced. Id like to see hot and cold effects to the player, and maybe a mechanic whereby the player has to wear certain clothes to keep warm/cool Tent crafting would be cool, to create temporary mountain shelters. Maybe a mechanic whereby the player has to move from heat source to heat source, whether it be a campfire or a building, to keep warm and survive. And instead of the shroud timer, you could have a hypothermia timer. Enemy mobs: id like to see bigger wolves, - dire wolves? Werewolves? Cave trolls, mountain giants. Bears. Id like to see silver, as a new ore type. To be able to craft silver weapons which are more effective against the hollow and other undead. Id like to see a lootable "Wolf Armour" we have lots of wolf weapons in the game "wolfs maw, wolf's claw, wolf daggers, wolfs snarl" etc, but no wolf armour. And finally, more food items to be crafted through Emily. Vegetable soups, meat hotpots etc.

What if, the sky islands are just dungeons to the new Mountain biome. What ever they do, I trust it will only enhance my drive to spend time in their wonderfully crafted world.

Also, the journal has a "Missed Embervale Quests" which leads me to believe there's a second act map coming as well.

It has a large crater below covered in the shroud. Its also a bunch of island around that kind of form an incline so likely there's a teleporter you have to fight to in the shroud and then fight over each island to teleport to the next one. Its the largest tower yet so either its the Spire for the mountains or its a totally different dungeon. It's about 50% taller than the others. It also has a bunch of smaller buildings surrounding it on the floating sky islands as well on the main island. None of the buildings are houses though, just more rectangular structures with no spots for doors that surround some of the shrines that house NPC's. I doubt its an actual city but there are some cool balconies with arches that look like they'll house a spot for a walkthrough teleporter, so we'll definitely be using teleporters to access the area. Found using cheat engine.

My thoughts are the mountains and some basic weather effect like cold and hot will come together, full on weather like rain and clouds will be a mini update in between a map update. And the sky islands will be a big map increase update but not until late this year.

Also for the warriors dealing with ranged, maybe fit a skill on the skill tree that could be used to modify the grappling hook to grab enemies and pull them to you.

I think a quest will get you there to unlock the full game, when the time comes.

I think the next update will bring us the new floating city, level max increase to 30, along with level 30 weapons and armor sets. The floating city will have a whole new boss, which will allow us to upgrade our flame level, which will allow us to explore some places that are currently red deadly shroud. And probably the floaring city will have a NPC (townsfolk related).

I saw that floating island, but my brain registered, Dalaran, and I didn't think about it. There could just be a portal to it, but giant trampoline sounds fun, lol I think the reason they released this past update, no flash just substance, was trying to bring people back to playing; quite a high percentage of players did not finish the Halls, and hadn't played in months. North of Nomad Highlands, barely into the mountains where the snow slows your walk, there is a huge complex of buildings; I really wanted to build a base there, but it wouldn't let me; maybe that has a connection to the floating island. It's cool to have something to speculate about. What I want. I'd really like to have townsfolk. Thanks for the video.

What if it's all the same biome? The Mountain biome culminates in a "fight" in the sky castle. Something you find in the mountains brings you there.

Roadmaps sometimes exclude content that you don’t want public yet. There’s always 2 versions of a roadmap.

Wasn't there a big tree hint for the Blackmire, similar to the mountain? You said there was no hint but there was the tree in the far distance, wasn't there? Please correct me it I'm wrong! I'd love a whole new biome, a proper big one. That would be cool. For the next update I'd like animal farming so that my husband can farm eggs and I don't have to chase the chickens off the cliffs anymore 😅

Hopefully a good amount of content with a new max level, I would like to see further expansion to the skill tree and I would like to see further differences to the combat styles between weapon types, buff those that need it and other balance needs

I wonder how far out we are from v1.0; we’re up to v0.7. We have to be getting closer. I think they hold mountains and level cap increases to v1.0 But whatever they give us, I’m enjoying it. For most the last update wasn’t as flashy but for me it was amazing as the game is finally running pretty well on my Steam Deck

It could be the Main Spire of the Ancients, their home which would probably have a Guardian as a main boss and lots of traps and such and several mini boss's. But who knows these maps have so much on them and in them so many mystery's and so much lore. But actually not much lore on the Ancients. And maybe the building blocks of the Spires. There are still many buildings that are blocked to us here and there across the map we have, one almost directly below where you put your beginning base in the game. It's also the best place to gather firefly's at night. There is a weather system in the road map to. What if we found a sleeping ancient or some of them that are suspended much as we were. There is so much they could do with this game yet. So much of the map we have barely touched. As we have only about a third of the map. And some of the map maybe for DLC's later to after the game comes out in full.

I'm betting that we are going to get up to those islands by the towers dotted around on the smaller islands. There will probably be a tower on the ground, that the top is high enough to fly to the next island. Work our way up the tower on THAT island and fly to the next. Rinse and repeat.

This game is awesome i really like it. I have a server so i can make progress with my buddy. The difficulty settings was a huge help!!!! i hope they keep the game updated. -changing weather would be nice. rain. snow. or wind so you need to calculate where you going where the wind are going. -MORE WEAPONS AND ARMORS :D -Usable furniture! -More animals and life (maybe flying animals or enemyes) just a lil bit challenge in the air -some places would be nice a Steam or something what keep you in the air longer time (if you have enogh stamina for it)

I had been wondering if the islands were just where the dev team want the towers/structures to sit, and that tall mountains would be placed/filled in underneath. If they remain floating, then teleport pads make sense to me, given that the glider boosts would never see us get that high. In my world exploration, i have seen several structures in the Ancient's style in the 'red zone'. Most curious indeed.

i play a full warrior but i always keep a bow and wand for the flying enemy's and a staff or healing

I would like to see a beach biome.

I’m still holding out for upgrades to the black smith to be able to make the weapons that you find.. And a magic enchantment system to enchant those weapons you craft

I dont even have the game, but im enjoying watch games updated/news all the time... i really wanna the game so, i know everything about the game even without playing HAHAHHA. I hope the games have 50% promotion one day, so i can buy it, i cant afford to pay the full price, because i live in place that Dollar is 5x more then my currency HAHA. Also, the most awesome update for what i can see, is the Pets/Farm pets and TownFolwks ones, i saw the things, and, WOW, they just looks live have Professions!!!! i saw the image? if you Zoom In the image, you see that the NPC models have a buble, inside the bubble there are specific HATS, like the Farm Hat. This means they will have professions or, be able to interact then to choose the profession!!! Its so awesome, i love this type of system, gives more life to survival games!!!. Just see the image, you'll check this details

Crazy to see you only that many subscribers man. I got hooked onto this game about a month ago now after downloading it once it released and fell upon your channel for some help and you guys put out top tier content. Even this podcast like talk session about future updates is great. Hoping it blows up once it hits console release and wish nothing but success for you guys. Keep pushing 🫡

I am new to Enshrouded [Keen Games] and have yet to learn the nuances (it has major potential here) of the game as you have but agree with your take (as well as others) that (in my opinion) will rival the "Elder Scrolls Franchise". This Gaming company has definitely got something ground-breaking here! I hope they keep it up and I look forward to what they will give to the gaming community! Just sayin. avb
