Hi Mayank Your videos are really helpful! I will start my application process for HEC soon and I watch your videos religiously for insights. I get that you’ll be starting with your academic year soon but please don’t sidetrack your youtube account. Cheers!
It indeed is a useful information Mayank! :) I’d say it’s not easy for non-French speakers to find the first internship in Paris, but doenst mean that we can! We eventually all found ones🥳🥳🥳✨✨
Thanks a ton for taking the time out and answering these Mayank! Most videos online only cover the applications process (which obviously is ridiculously important) but I feel like it's also important to understand how well a university fits into one's personal set of goals. I've been binging on all your videos lately and you've got me really pumped about HEC! Hopefully I can be there next year and thank you for your generosity in person! Also best of luck for your oncoming semester and yea, I'm gonna keep an eye on your channel for more amazing content. Cheers!
Thanks for the great questions! Most questions I get are about the same things - admissions, profile, GMAT - but these ones were quite unique and interesting for me to answer, since they were based on my personal experience! All the best!
Great one Mayank! I think you have a really cool way of narrating your experiences. Already feel like I know a lot about HEC, even though I haven’t reached campus yet. Looking forward to catch up with you soon in person. Cheers!
Hey! It's a bit of a challenging question to answer because there's no simple answer. It depends so much on your past experience, the exact stream you want to get into, what your language ability is - I have to get information about it from multiple different sources, since being in the second year I haven't experienced the job search myself yet. And my principle is to not make a video that I'm not 100% sure about, so it might take some time to answer that question thoroughly :) I hope you understand!
Sending much love and support from Cameroon🇨🇲, in central Africa. HEC Paris is my dream school. I plan to apply after my master degree in 2years but coming from India was it natural for you to talk so fluently in English? My country is bilingual and I want to chat with English speaking people to build that kind of natural feeling when talking for the HEC Interviews. Any tips?
All the best!! and indeed yes English is essentially my first language since I come from a part of India where it is widely spoken, and I've been speaking almost exclusively in English since I was 6 years old (when I moved there). I would recommend watching LinguaMarina's channel on RU-vid for English tips, and watching as many English movies and series as possible!
Do you know if one can apply to the MiM program at HEC if he/she has a deferred MSc program with HEC already? I have a deferred MSc Strategic Management admit but still want to try for MiM this year.
Hi Mayank, Content of the videos which you upload is really good and informative. I'd request you to upload a video on scholarships offered to MBA students in different universities. Do having a 700+ GMAT score can get me scholarship in top universities ? Adding to that if I have 2+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing would give me an edge over others ? Guidence from your side would be of great help mate. Thanks in advance.
Hi Mayank, I wanted to know what kind of jobs do students from MSc Entrepreneurship (HEC-X) get post completion of their degree if they don't start their own venture straight out of college? Who hires them? Do consulting firms hire Entrepreneurs? I want to be a strategy consultant for a few years before starting my own venture...which program would best fit my career aspirations (Msc. Entrepreneurship / Msc. Strategic Management) ?
I have Bachelor degree ( BA ) from open University ( VMOU) , could I able to join hec Paris for mim , within GMAT & IELTS score ? ,Is open University degree affected or not ?
Hey Mayank! Hope you’re doing well! I wanted to know if there is a need to take any english proficiency test like ietls or toefl along with gmat/gre for the MIM admission. Many french universities don’t ask for this if the transcripts are in English and if the university’s language of instruction is English. Is it the same for HEC paris as well?
Hey! Your videos are really helpful! I am from the same batch in Manipal and found the GMAT and course videos specially helpful. would love a video on the application process and also for the MIM program would a gap of 6 months after 2 years work experience have a negative impact on your application?
I started learning at Alliance Française de Bangalore, and I continued here on campus and I practiced a LOT with French friends. There is an Alliance Française de Manipal as well!
@@MayankSehgal Tysm. Helps a lot. Also, wud u say that knowing any Foreign Language when Applying to European B-Schools gives u an edge? Not necessarily French
Sorry I can't watch till the end. I don't have the time and I'm already very depressed with HEC Paris. I just need to ask, are you paid by HEC Paris to do all this marketing and promotion about how good HEC Paris is? When it is definitely not. From 2010 HEC Paris MBA with concentration in finance.
