22:44 My parents were managers of a pub in Old Trafford around 1988. A coach full of Chelsea fans were going by, and my mum, in all her wisdom, started jeering them. The coach stopped, people got out. All I remember was being told to "get up the f****** stairs!", looking back and seeing my parents and the staff try stop them from getting in.

@Heloise O'Byrne I doubt it, or at least I was never told. I was about 5 at the time. I just remember being told to go, and my parents with maybe a barman or two holding the doors to stop them getting in. I didn't find out what actually happened til I was in my 20s.

Regarding the hamster making investments, I remember 2 experiments from the past. In one test they used a dart board to select investments and in the other they closed their eyes and pointed to pages of stocks in a newspaper. In both cases they were compared to expert advice and in both cases the random choices were better!
@beenaplumber8379
@beenaplumber8379 5 месяцев назад
I expect they only publicize such things after they have "succeeded". Sometimes a string of random guesses can align with something more complex, but we can only know by looking back. They are not predictive. A string of successful guesses does not make the next guess more reliable. Also, if you look closely at the data they showed, the hamster did horribly, then had a few spectacular days, then went back to doing poorly, right when they ended the data. That's not successful. It's volatile. In fact, Mr. Goxx seemed to have been almost entirely driven by Bitcoin throughout. His numbers were tanking hard, along with Bitcoin, at the end, while all the others were holding their own. I wonder why that's where they cut the data. I wonder how they decided when to ask Mr. Goxx for a recommendation, and how they decided which options to present him? When he makes a losing choice, do they give him another choice right away?

I'm somewhat disappointed that the script didn't have Alexander go, "Yes, her husband had taped over their wedding video with 'COPS'. Annoying, but what ya gonna do? What ya gonna do when they come for you?" On the note of the Kunsten art museum (located in my home town), the art director of the museum acknowledged that it was quite clever, but still warned the artist that it wasn't what he was contracted to do and to give the money back, unless he wanted to be reported for fraud.

@Heloise O'Byrne He clearly despises Boris. Have you watched many episodes of this? Hislop didnt go to Eton. "When he was five months old, Hislop's family began to travel around the world because of his father's job as a civil engineer.[2] During his infant years, Hislop lived in Nigeria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and British Hong Kong.[3] While in Saudi Arabia, Hislop has said he potentially went to school with Osama Bin Laden.[4][5] When Hislop was 12 years old his father died; his mother died when he was 32.[2] On his return to Britain he was educated at Ardingly College, an independent boarding school, where he became head boy, and began his satirical career directing and appearing in revues alongside Nick Newman.["

@Heloise O'Byrne "But if you literally sit there for hours allowing Boris to be a bafoon joshing about his bafoonery with good jollity you can't turn around and say well I don't really like the guy" It's a TV show; it ruins the taping and everyone's time if there's actual confrontation: just look at the BFQotY with Mel B, and the panel didnt even particularly disapprove of her..

I have a guess. The capsule has only one purpose - to transport tourists. I think it's designed to do so in comfort and with a good view. (Notice the huge windows all around.) That means a wide capsule, in this case wider than the booster rocket. It makes sense to me, but it has to be a challenge for their marketing people. 😛
