Well done Paul, for a guy from Perth you are really showing the way ahead in PowerApps here. Probably one of the best training videos I have seen. Covers a lot more than Metadata. keep them coming

Terrific video - really enjoyed your use of one gallery to show different sources of data. It's always fun to see what you come up with when you dig into a new technology.

Great Video Paul. I like the way you push the envelope with PowerApps, learnt new ways to use a lot of things we take for granted in PowerApps.

This is awesome! Thanks Paul a great introduction into PowerApps for me with some useful tricks! Question to anyone that can help.. I'm working with a multilevel Metadata set and so far using this tutorial I can get up to 20 Terms. Is there a way to maybe break the levels into 2 canvases or clear that 20 items limit? I've also found that that 20 is the default limit for the dropdown.

Just ran into this too. Any luck? I'm trying to set a default value, but if the default value isn't in the first 20 items, it won't work. Otherwise, it does just fine.

@@L3V1A7H0N Hi Levi! Did you manage to get more than 20 items from a managed metadata field into a dropdown or combo box? For now I don't care about default values and filtering, I just want to display all of the available values in the field.

Is there any answer to this? I would like to use 3 levels of Metadata, so looking for a kind of drill-down...

Very Nice video, Could you clarify more on the default drop down combo is there any customization on the properties to show the meta data as in my case it can't be retrieved in the drop down and I got error ''the function choices has some invalid arguments"

In the pop up canvas, how did you create the middle data card that it has a rounded edge rectangle border?

Thanks Paul, I’m going to use this...it was really bugging me that multi select was not showing all the items.

Hi Paul, great video on a really useful technique. Do you know how this would work with multi level term sets? Or would this technique only work with single level term sets?

Awsome :-) Any idea if the documentation will be updated or that functionality will be disabled?

Hi Paul, I am a little confused by your Patch function. I notes you did not use defaults() yet it still created anew records in the list. I was not aware this could be done like that.

I check the documentation for Patch function and Defaults is not a required entity.
@latrobe15

The documentation for PowerApps says: Use Patch with the Defaults function to create records. Use this behavior to build a single screen for both creating and editing records. Using example Patch( Customers, Defaults( Customer ), { Name: “Contoso” } )

This worked great however the amount of canvases, datacard, hidden items... kinda slow down the app for users using cheaper- older phones like where Im livin
