Great video. So sad. I had a barely used Terry Ludwig Red Rock set, I loved that was stolen out of my SUV along with over $1000 worth of pastels, Uart and Pastemat papers and wheeled art cart; Unisons, and Nu pastels; a few senneliers too. All irreplaceable as I am a senior on such a limited Canadian pension. Broke my heart.

I am just beginning to try chalk pastels. Your teaching and results are super!!! I live in hope that you will sometime paint a scene with a rainbow in it. No one else does!!! Hi Karen. How do you when using a dry underpainting prevent from filling the tooth of the paper too quickly? Have you ever prepared pastel paper with clear gesso to add some tooth. The UArt paper is really expensive and for practice with these exercises would like to have a more affordable alternative. I have Nupastel and medium soft pastels. Thank you for all of your help.

Thank you Marvin. I sell my work online through my Etsy shop and through my website. I do share everyday on Instagram and have sold when someone sees a painting they like!
Hi Karen....yet another great and instructive film. I would like to ask if you use just black foam core for your board or do you cover the black board with black paper? It always looks pristine and mine is so grubby after a couple of paintings.
