True, most reviews didn't really make the shotgun stand out. However, this review made the shotgun appealing. Problably due to his apparent passion, the angles in the shot and the blue paint.

A 650 Scrambler is the bike that in my opinión, will make more sense. If Royal Enfield do it right it can be a best seller

The same for me, I was 16 when I got on a Liberator 1942, I am now 77 and stopped Harley a year ago and now ride the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, a great machine!!!!

If you both say it, it s a law. All the experience on the road that you have got it s gurantee. I ll go for the Super Meteor 650👍👏👏 safe road

I went from a Honda nighthawk to the Supper Meteor and I love it. I can't weight to go touring with it this summer.

I'm assuming that's because a Harley Davidson purchase is a major 'family conference' discussion, whereas Royal Enfield have brought back 'impulse purchase' back into existence.

What do you mean best footrest position, that depends on the type of motorcycle, different genre of motorcycles have different foot rest position. This is a cruiser so foot rest is front set. So you mean to say you like cruisers. Say like that. Also, chrome parts and blacked out are subjective. One may like chrome and one may like black. And seats comfort wise, I think the larger single broad and long seat of an interceptor should be more comfortable then this single butt shape seats of cruisers. Anyways I am really confused by your comments, nothing seems to make sense.

@@michaelmurdock4607 and go to the paint book, find a classic RE colorway from decades passed and order some new restoration decals. Sea; ot i[ om a few coats of clear. Not that I've been contemplating this kind of thing since the Shotgun was announced or anything.

The blue is very pleasing- and I like the yellow but not so much the text. I would choose the sheet metal grey.

Cafe racers are very impractical though, styling way over function. Styling with function... I mean for me SG is way more interesting than Super Meteor

Will try to help you a bit, hehe. Yes RE will lack the chrome and metal finish if compared to a Bonnie. BUT its not that tragic. We had a 2018 Interceptor 650 as one of the learner bikes in the bike school where i've passed my A-cat back in 2021. In school it was used for 3 years in a row (2021 at the time i've passed the bar) from April till October, being dropped a couple of times a day on asphalt and on the ground, stalling pretty much 50+ times a day, riding in all weather from 10:00 till 20:00 6 days a week under a LOT of riders. No cleaning done to it. 2 sets of rubber in one season were used. During the winter bikes were stored in a cargo container, container was outside. It gets to -30 celsius in the winter. So storage was bad also. Other bikes out there were Honda CB650R, Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Trident 660 and a couple of older bikes. Those had the same usage type. Well, on its 3rd year of torture the Interceptor endured pretty much everything it was given. In terms of technical issues I can say that it had none. One little rubber seal broke on it, it was like 5euro to replace and a few weeks to wait for the part (there are no dealerships in my country). Thats it. It was worse in terms of looks - the exhaust started to rust a bit (the part that came out of the cylinders), polished metal engine block was dull gray color instead of a polished chrome, paint started chipping of a bit from front mud guard (thats probably been a hit, not "natural aging"), rubber handlebars looked and felt like 2 pieces of chewed shit. Schools bike was orange color, the color itself also became "dull". On the other hand Honda CB650R had none of that (it was just looking a bit tired overall). The Triumph Trident 660 was more tired the the Honda and also had a very dull looking paint. In conclusion, the Interceptor did end up looking worse then the bikes that were 50% more in price. But it just requires some love to fix that, plus you are never going to torture your own bike like that. Based on all of that I have decided that the Interceptor will last. And i've purchased a 2023 model of the Interceptor 650 this winter. Its was a superb deal. Compared to a T100 bonnie that costs 5500euro more and a MG V7 Special that costs 4700 euro more. If it would be my decision - id purchase an Interceptor and a classic 350 for the price difference between the Interceptor and a T100 Bonnie. That deal would even leave me with 500-700euro for accessories.... But, if we ignore the costs - then the T100 is a better bike.

Essentially I'm boiling your expertise down to this: "T100 bonnie that costs 5500euro more" plus "But, if we ignore the costs - then the T100 is a better bike." ... because I can get a T100 for around the same price as a new Interceptor. Low mileage (sub 5k), excellent condition. There are many examples for sale. In which case I'd take the T100. But I don't doubt the Interceptor is a lovely bike and I applaud RE for bringing out bikes at competitive price points, it's a great thing.

@@conradclipper Buying used, thats an ok thing if you are not afraid of it. In my country most used bikes split in to 3 categories - junk, bikes with hidden problems, used bikes for price of new bikes. I can get a 5 year old but alive T100 bonnie for around 9000eur. When a new one can be fetched out for about 10 700eur. There is a single used RE Continental GT for sale right now - 7200eur, versus 7100eur of a new Continental GT. Used market is...interesting in my country. If you live in a normal country - then used bikes are a very solid option. P.S Id look for a T120. It's way more sexy in terms of finish - compared T120 and T100 side by side at the dealers. T120 won my heart. But its 12 900 price tag made me sad

@@aleksandrskusnirs6259Sorry to hear that used bikes are so expensive, on this regard I'm lucky to live in the UK. To give an example, I just had a quick browse on Bike Trader and found an immaculate silver T120 from 2019 with 2700 miles on the clock, for sale for £8200. That's about £1400 more than the Shotgun 650, and I think it's quite a lot more bike. You could argue that £1400 is a large amount of money in its own right, which it is, but I think for many people when financing or saving this amount, if you can get to £6800, you can get to £8200 without killing yourself. To further put this in perspective, to finance these bikes over five years is £134 for the Royal Enfield, or £158 for the T120. I wonder what other people think...

@@aleksandrskusnirs6259 One other thought: I wouldn't automatically go T120 over T100. The 100 is for many people a very characterful, charming, and more nimble motorcycle than it's bigger sister, although sure the 120 has some nice features like twin discs and cruise control and more (Clarkson voice).. POOWWWEEERR.

@ScottMc. Hi!! I’m an old man myself. I live in London. I haven’t been out riding for a couple of months now, because the weather has been so shit. Feels like it’s been cold and rainy every dam day this year! I understand that Wales, where the Old Man lives, has got it even worse! Better weather on the way in a couple of weeks, (we all hope.) Then I think the Old Man will come out of hibernation! Happy trails!
