I just watched Scottie in this new taylormade video where he guessed the yardage before hitting the ball AND I don’t think they were his clubs lol. He hit them all on a rope! I think it’s more along the lines at what you said at the end of the video, it comes down to confidence.

I think the top pro's all chop and change their clubs. Lee Westwood was using old model Ping irons for years. I watched the Honda Classic a couple of weeks ago. The winner Chris Kirk is listed as a Callaway Staff player. His caddie was carrying a Callaway Paradym bag, he wore a cap with the Callaway logo, his woods had Paradym headcovers but when he hit his ball into the water on the 18th and held the club behind his back he had used a Taylormade Stealth fairway wood.

i was sure i would be getting the STEALTH 2 at 850.00 ( Canadian ) including tax....but they had a SIM 2 MAX there to brand new...tried both....Liked the SIM 2 MAX more in alot of ways...and got it for 399.00 Canadian including the midsize grip...glad at the result and saved 450....cheers from Canada

I think there's a difference in terms of the results when you compare a 125mph swing speed. A lot less room for error and the misses are exaggerated so much more at that speed and when they're averaging 340 yards. you'll never see the same results when we are all slower and shorter.

100% the truth. And the stealth 2 plus is worse than the stealth plus on off centre hits

I hit the stealth also and I think the Carbon face just isnt what it's hyped up to be. Sim 2 was amazing but then from then on the forgiveness just went to water. The spin consistency was terrible for me.

Maybe the pros didn’t like the Stealth 2 not because of the performance issue, but maybe the aesthetics issue? I noticed the original Stealth is matte finish whereas the 2nd one is glossy. Maybe that bothers them with the glare at address. Pros can be very sensitive over small things. I know DJ or someone uses different number of tapes on upper/lower to change the grip thickness

To me they both look great. The red face and highlights work really well and the matt vs gloss both work well. Best looking driver for me.

Nice video, Ali, but would you upgrade from Stealth to Stealth 2 for such a marginal gain? I’d guess other manufacturers (e.g. Callaway and Ping) have a more significant gain from last year?

Well, it all comes down to the fact that Tour players clubs are specially chosen to just comply with CT spec and no more. It was an open secret that back in the day when clubs were only tested once ( COR tested) the faces sprang more after use and quickly became proper trampolines, but they never reqd retesting. Now with CT ( characteristic time) test being random tested in non competetive days ( why non?) the Tour players know just how close to non conforming their clubs are. So no return to old gear for these lads. Just another example of how very different theTour game is to us normal golfers.

The sweetspot on basically every modern driver is a bit above the equator, every shot you hit was low with 1 right on that equator which is still low of the sweet spot. Generally slightly above center and slightly off the toe is the true sweet spot, which is always a pin point, no bigger despite company’s false claims of “bigger sweet spots”. The sweet spot changes depending on weighting CG, the club itself, some are more center, most slightly towards the toe, a few slightly towards the heel, but above center a bit is pretty universal across the board with all modern drivers. The computer reading could be off too, we didn’t actually see the ball marks. Low strikes are going to add spin and decrease initial launch but the dead center is almost never the sweetspot on driver. ⛳️🧙‍♂️💭

The strike locations on TM 4 are good, the idea of the video was to show forgiveness. The + version is obviously better for moving CG to match strike for the golfer.

Ali, I wonder about your numbers. Your head speed is faster than mine but your ball speed was lower than when I was fit for the Stealth 2 Plus. My swing speed is usually 106-107 but I was climbing into the 160-164 ball speed.

When i tried Callaway Jaw wedges, the fitter said " wow,you just generate 11000 rpm backspin!" i almost laughted cause l know my numbers. With a 90 mph driver speed , it was impossible. But i bought them anyway , love the feeling.

Plain an simple his original stealth was deemed illegal cause of the thinness of the face .. they become non confirming and they can no longer use them due to how many strikes out of the same spot they hit It’s why rory doesn’t like it cause his old one was effectively cheating but Info is always withheld to protect their posture child

The issue isn’t with the stealth. It’s with the stealth 2 plus. Off centre hits with the stealth 2 plus I find is far worse than the stealth plus. So I ditched it and put the stealth plus back in the bag.

More forgiveness for better ball speed on mishits. That’s what most of the new drivers are about

It's a nice driver all the way around but reliability it is not there It's on the bottom. You are limited on how many balls to hit with it . I'm on my 2nd one for this year. They come apart on the bottom . It looks like a blow out . I believe the problem is what ever they use to put it together is failing. My sim 2 did the same thing.

Here’s what it comes down to the stuff that comes off the manufacturers line they go to the general public we don’t trust it we’re getting clubs that are slower than @ off the face and feel like the only benefit of any driver anymore or people to swing over 110 miles an hour do you know your whole show would go better if you showed swings of 90 miles an hour maybe 100 but anything above that you’re like 2% of your viewing audience

I. Called out new golf tech, while in a fitting I hit my 910 titleist with a nice fugi speeder that is as old as the head, this club has been hit 100’s of times over 10 yrs. for kicks we swapped out the head with 2023 tsr head, absolutely no difference ,test was on a trackman. I woulda expected some difference. Don’t run out and buy a $600 driver expecting greater distance.

It takes thousands of shots to know if a club is truly "better" or "more forgiving so I truly believe these reviews are bullshit. Sorry, but it is true. Some people also simply find a club they love and trust, and they don't want to switch. Taylormade should be happy he likes the stealth because rory definantly wouldn't have a hard time getting another club sponsor, like titleist in a heart beat!

Thank you! They've pulled this shit for 10 years, and it was disgusting. They've released probably 30 drivers in the last 10 years. It pisses customers off. I have the SLDR driver and it was the worst, most unforgiving driver I ever had. It's awful. I remember having the Burner irons, and they came out with the Burner 2.0 irons the very next year. I'll never buy another TaylorMade club.

Only because I bought it off my society mate for 20 euros because the week before the head of my Ping i3 driver flew off and went straight left into a ravine 🤣🤣. I'm still knocking it 250. No matter what else I use, I'm NEVER gonna hit it any further..........I'm 52, a different joint packs in every week and I'm getting fatter rapidly. I see all my retired golf mates out here in Spain buying the new drivers all the time, at 60+ years old and playing off 30+ handicap.........WHY??.........you can't reach the fairway across the barranca 150 yards away, no matter what you hit it with!!
