Taking another gamble on this beach video by putting my bum on the thumbnail instead of a more alluring picture. Enjoy the show! Then check out our Kaua'i itinerary to complete your Hawaii vacation planning: thehawaiivacationguide.com/Kauai/
haha, that is awesome. Thanks so much for the comment! stay safe running for those videos. you can watch them in the hospital so maybe not a big deal...
Ke'e is such a gem, you could walk just a short way down from the entrance and see nobody, my wife and I spent hours down that way just lounging the day away!! I am usually against showing "secret" beaches, but this is a great #1 and I highly recommend!!
I love your videos! I am really hoping to go to make it to Hawaii sometime and Kauai just seems like an awesome island, so any more videos you make about it are so appreciated!
It's a good beach but we don't like to recommend it as the road there is tough, many a car gets stuck, some rental car companies don't cover towing from there, and a lot of folks don't make it to the far west side of the island. We heard you have to go to the beach with a 12 pack of beer in your car so you can talk the tow truck driver into coming out to save you. 😂
And yet... its worth it! Blows these other beaches away with its grandeur. Plus it seems all the bigger because you get it all to yourself. Like you said, people are scared of that dirt road. We made it in a Buick Enclave FWD without issue 🤷🏼♂
My favorite beach has to be Kalapaki beach because there bathrooms, shower and there’s a hotel there also the beach is a public beach and there’s also a canoe club there called Niumalu canoe club it’s so much I really recommend Kalapaki beach I was born and raised on Hawaii on the island of Kauai and your beach choices aren’t bad at all and Mahalo brada 🤙
Shipwreck is great and the hike along the cliffs is great BUT it is a terrible beach to swim. Lydgate is great if u have kids, boring as an adult. LOVE Ha'ena and Kee BUT u now ,need a day pass that you need to book WAY in advance My favorite on the south side is the beach in front of the Sheraton Poipu..got married there.! Tunnels is the best on the north side! Love e snorkeling there fyi..ITS "BREN-E-KEE" not Breneck"
So I’m going to Kauai for the last week of this month (April). Are the north shore beaches pretty good for swimming/snorkeling at that time of year? Or are the swells still pretty rough?
Question! Do you happen to have an affordable car rental service you can recommend ? We will be staying on the coconut coast so lots close by, but we want to make our way to the north shore and to the south as well. Do Ubers take you ? Or do you recommend renting a car ?
We do! Discount Hawaii Car Rental has great deals: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-recommendations/rental-car/ A local rent-a-wreck place that had good service was Paradise Rental Car and they are in Kapa'a, the coconut coast. Ubers are available but limited.
We have seen plethora of seals and turtles earlier this month on Poipu Beach and Ke'e Beach. Wonderful creatures! Even a whale jumped out of the water at the Poipu. Thank you for all inspiration! Oh, by the way, Chocolate tour on Maui was great as well, but far from inexpensive. 😉
agreed! that tour is a pretty penny but well liked. Kauai is the island to see monk seals as they like the northern islands. I'd love to see a whale while chilling at Poipu. You had a great trip!
We went to Hanalei when they had a Regatta and it was so much fun. My family is part of their canoe club. Each beach has something different to offer. I also loved the beach in Kapaa.
we don't like to recommend Polihale as it is challenging to get to and get out of, we hear about too many breakdowns and stuck cars. We recommend seeing it on a Na Pali coast tour.
I have been watching all your videos all year and we are finally going next week. Question: What is considered "winter" We are going Sept 23-Oct 4 and want to know the best calm beaches to snorkel
leaving in two days! have a good trip. September is still the summer in Hawaii. Most areas will be calm but always check conditions for safety. this article lists good snorkel spots by month: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-snorkeling-in-hawaii-by-month/ this article is our favorite Kauai snorkel spots: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-snorkeling-spots-kauai/
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I think you should rename your video....Little kid friendly beaches on Kauai. Lumahai doesn't have bathrooms, concession stands and changing stations, but it was one of the beaches featured in the classic movie "South Pacific" and there are endless post cards of it. As you pointed out with the other beaches on the North Shore winter rip currents are dangerous, but Lumahai is a treasure not only in its spectacular beauty but in its marvelous solitude. Not a beach umbrella or hot dog stand in sight.
There is Uber but it can be hard to get at times. Rental cars are more available and prices have come down a lot from the summer. Book early and you will be fine. Check out local companies too with a Google search!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide ok thanks! Was curious as it seemed sunnier in your maui video. Probably going to kauai in mid august. But was considering Maui. I just like the seemingly relative tranquility of kauai
