goddamn, credits to the opponent as well for outing the negate + Yubel line TWICE in this duel he didn't have the out needed to win the duel (although with a bit more luck he probably could have) but damn was it epic
Another little bit of neat wording is that Awakening at stage 2 does act like a Skill Drain, but the card negates the activated effects of monster on the field rather than negating monsters on the field. This actually makes it stronger in fringe cases where Tributing for cost is involved, as a monster that tributes itself is no longer on the field. Skill Drain can't catch that, but Awakening does because it prevents the Tribute from going off in the first place. It's why Sacred Beasts can sort of ignore Skill Drain but can't ignore an opponent's Awakening (and let's be honest who's gonna mirror match Sacred Beasts?)
yup even jump off to the grave they still negated.. also if i bring uria, the trap card gonna be add Macro cosmos effect to, simply the awakening has 3 effect : Ghost Sister = Infinte Life Point Skill Drain = Monster Negate Macro Cosmos = Banish idk mirror match between yubel kinda hard, they just summon 2 yubel and win if going second againts this deck
fun fact it stacks with dog wood and another copy of it self if its on the field and another fun fact hamons skyfire spell card negates super poly i run pure sacred beast and its a blast
