They tried Tapatio hot sauce, Tapatio Doritos, Tapatio Mixed Nuts, Tapatio Ramen, Tapatio Tuna, and even Tapatio Hot Pickle! 😂 Did you even know those existed?! Some of those sound delicious and some sound like Tapa-too much! Would you eat these Tapatio foods and snacks?

Pretty sure Xochitl was the inspiration for the Tapatio Doritos and I am shocked that Lucy didn't suggest Tapatio Coke, lol. Fun story... I started watching mamah right before I got covid and lost all my taste and smell. I had some Tapatio on hand, inspired by the Mexican moms, but I hadn't really used it because I am pretty weak about spice. Just to get some flavor I put it on tortilla chips and I couldn't taste a thing. So I put more and more on and nothing. Not even a burn in my throat. So weird! Almost a year later and my taste is still altered, but I can taste Tapatio again!

@@nininizzlebaby2333 I probably had a more extreme case of losing taste and smell (the other covid symptoms weren't too bad). I lost all taste other than slightly being able to detect salt, sugar, and citrus. My smell was 100% gone. It was like this for about 6 weeks and was very gradual from there. Almost a year out and my taste is back, but many things are still altered - like chocolate and tomatoes, so sad. My smell is maybe 75% back, all bad odors are still altered and I am no longer the first to detect a smell like I used to be. It is kind of a bummer, but I am still hoping it will go completely back to normal eventually.

i like Cholula , its not very spicy for me but its a nice flavour , very vinegar forward , nice consistency . I just ran out of hot sauce , ill grab a bottle of tapatio , hopefully its good because its actually much cheaper than my cholula and has much more volume in the bottle .

It looks to me that Tapatio is the salsa equivalent of 5 de mayo, it is only sold in very specific regions of Mexico and way more famous in the US. I have never seen them in any supermarket in several cities here in Mexico, next time I go to Guadalajara I´ll look for it, maybe there it is.
