Hi. For a pump application, it is recommended to use a contactor with the timer. Suitable timer for your application is a 24 hour timer or Havells digital weekly timer. Contactor rating can be 9 amps which is generally the minimum available. Ideally for pump applications, people use a float switch which would turn off the pump after the tank is filled.
