The date night out is so true, especially when your kids are still babies! EXPECTATION: "Omg yes let's go to dinner and have a margarita... or maybe two even, we deserve it, we work so hard at being good parents, time to let loose and just be US again for a couple hours! Yay for quality time and talking about adult stuff and being adults!!!" REALITY: "I wonder if the baby is OK? Is he upset I'm not there? Did we leave good instructions for Grandma? Did he go to sleep? Did he poop? Did he eat? Is he crying????? This is too much. CHECk PLEASE! Let's just go home".

I knew a lot about babies when I was a nanny but now I know more being a mother and having my own child to make decisions for, be with at night unlike most nannies, etc...

I am currently laying next to the crib waiting for LO to fall asleep. She is just staring at me. I’m never getting out of this room 😟. I still love her more than anything in this world ❤️. One of the hardest things about being a Mum is the constant anxiety that something will happen to her. Carter is lucky to have his Mum with him always.
The baby clothes scene literally had me LMAO!! Happens every time I put one of those cute matching hats with bear or bunny ears on my four month old son.

I think as mothers while carrying our babies we have a sense of how special our bond & love Will be with our child but once we have them it is beyond anything we could imagine. Lol, love it! I have one to add :) My daughter started sleeping 9 hours straight around 2 months, so that was my "expectation" going forward. Then, as soon as she turned 4 months, she started waking up to nurse 2-3x a night again... Like HA! I got you mom! You thought you were going to get off that easy?! It's been a month & still going strong with the multiple night feedings.

I couldn’t relate to the baby food.Both my boys love my food but everything also was on point. Later on you can add, expectation: your child sleep all night in his bedroom. Reality: you wake up with your arms numb and realize he is in the middle of the bed, feet and arms open and you close to falling off the bed😂Blessings for your family
Yep to all of this!!!! I promise you will have even more reality vs expectation as he gets older. Potty training, soccer games, sleepovers, and don't get me started on the teenage years. My kids are 11 and 14 now. Loved this video!
