Looks good, although please add cleaning those light fittings on the walls to the list.....with the walls painted so nicely they're grotty and stand out a lot 😁
The workshop looks fantastic and it’s great to see the shot blaster be used exactly for what it was meant for. Look forward to seeing you make it your own and the projects you plan to do with it. P.S - Go with the lights for the sign💡
I hate mess, but when I work it just gets messy again 😂 Thumbs up for your efforts though, the paint and machines remind me of working at Perkins … everything was clean and organized, bright paint and good lighting 👍
I know exactly what you're talking about haha. And sweet, this workshop feels so much more professional than anything i've ever had, I can't wait to use it. 👍
@@RestoreIt No worries, its important to have life and work balance. The air line portion of the video is giving me motivation to install my system thats been in a box for 5 years, haha.
Роман привет России I am for a luminous sign, it will be beautiful and entourage, but then you will make a tour of your new workshop? Good luck my friend, may you succeed!👍
Any idea when you will actually do any restoration work on a BMW? Or any actual restoration work at all? It feels like it’s just adverts for machinery that your getting cheap.
Oh, I see your point haha. Yes, don't worry. I'll be able to make so much more content with this new workshop, you'll be seeing double the E30 content than usual. I also love the antique side of things and I think a good mixture of both will be the best. Thank you!
@@RestoreIt dude, I've got to ask. Why did you move out of the previous workshop. It had wah more space than this new one. The new one seems way more cramped compared to the old one.
@@freedomwriter1995 his old workshop was too big, he probably got a better deal on the new place, the old place was kinda out in the middle of nowhere from what I remember, he left Spain because of several reasons. A few which I forgot. But I think when he would order parts it took much longer, maybe the climate was a bit of an issue, and I forget the other reasons. One thing I do respect is he drags all that stuff with him. 😂 Hopefully this will be the home of restore it for awhile.
You're pretty spot on here! Too hot in Spain, and not enough local knowledge to get by was a big one, as fun as it was. I need to work quickly and the UK is good for that. Also, after the Mercedes W123 I've decided that I'm not going to restore other people's cars, haha. So, I only need space for my car, car parts and antique restorations. Cheers guys!
Hi Steve! Congratulation ! Not for having painted the floor of a workshop or hung pipes on the wall... but for having had the passion and the motivation for so many years! I have been following you since the beginning, I have watched all the videos on this channel carefully, followed all the adventures that have happened to you with your different workshops and countries... I am a professional mechanic and my dream is to having a workshop like yours is a source of motivation all over the world! 🛠️ The ultimate dream of seeing the E30 Sport full rebuild in a fully equipped workshop, you can be proud of all the work done. Wait to see more! Support from France
Hey Peace. That's very kind of you to say, thank you! It's so cool that you've been here since I started. Five years ago! Can you believe it... It pains me a little to know professional mechanics and welders are watching me be an amature, but I'm glad you're still enjoying it. Once this new workshop is done, I can post a lot more content and finish the E30 much more quicker! I look forward to sharing it all with you! Thanks again!
The shop is looking great! I say resto-mod that sign, it's always fun to add a personal touch to something old and worn out. That sign could use a little freshening up, why not? Congrats on the new machine too 👍
Thanks Bobby! It got hacked about a year ago. I was literally talking about making the new one today. This time with two factor authentication! I'm going to start promoting it in the videos, so you'll find it soon!
Shop’s looking great, nice score on the blast cab. I’m guessing the difference in your fittings is CFMs based on the inside diameter of the male fittings, but not 100% sure keep it up man
Cheers Paul. Actually you've just made me think... Why did I go with the small diameter connector... I think I'm going to do BPS instead now haha. Cheers mate!
I live close to an air base so the jets for one, two i listen to a lot of podcasts and things like the compressor or blaster are very loud. So headphones that can almost provide me with entertainment is the best of both worlds. Ear buds don't quite cut it.
Can you remember what the luminance K value was for both LED strips, but specifically the yellow LED strips? I need some yellow strips like those, but I'd like to know the K value you bought so I have a frame of reference. Also definitely let us know if mixing them looks even better, or if you find a medium between the two what those K values are.
I've just checked and they are 4000k. I'm 99% sure that I started with one warm white and one cold white. I'll keep you updated in the coming episodes!
It's just like playing tetris tho in real life lol. I do the same with my garage although with less stuff! But my wife keeps on adding more crap like always 🙄
Really great to see all the upgrades in the new shop! Ever considered polyaspartic coating for the floor? I'm concerned that the concrete patching you did will chip off the surface in a couple of years. It looked like you didn't saturate the surface with water before applying it or covering the patches and edge filling to extend the curing time and that floor paint will not age well. Also, Cerakote would be a better option for the hopper on your new (to you) blaster. That abrasive will eventually eat into the relatively softer epoxy paint. Cheers! Edit: Just saw you used a worm clamp to secure that PCL fitting to the hose - VERY DANGEROUS and is an OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) violation here in the US
This videos make me want to reorganize my garage aswell but i cant afford any of those beautyful machines😂 Btw you should go with a lighted sign it would be so cool
Apparently PCL connectors are primarily used in pneumatic applications, whereas BSP connectors are for applications that involve transporting fluids.. hope that helps.
Hi Mate hope you remember me, I am loving your new shop. Congrats brother, and finally a new cabinet, that old one was a legend. No doubt the sign with light, would be sport on.
Gotta love that no matter what you do, you're restoring stuff! It just turns out that right now, you're restoring your shop! And as a lover of watching sandblasting in action, i am eagerly awaiting seeing what you do with that (new) old blasting cabinet!
I've just ordered some new glass for the cabinet as well! So I think I'll be able to make some really saticfying timelapes in the cabinet. I can't wait to show you Leggedog!
Agree that lighting up the exit sign would be good, but don't take up too much wall space on decorations like some workshops. Would it be possible to line the new blasting cabinet with stainless steel sheet rather than painting it ?
I think you're right. I don't want it cluttered in there, just a few finishing touches. That's actually a really good idea. I've already painted it, but I will look into getting some sheets cut. Cheers!
