In this video I show some of the fountain pen ink combinations I have mixed to make specific colors that I desired. I made sure to purchase an ink from each color family so that I could mix any color that I did not have. Mixing fountain pen inks can be fun and rewarding when done right. It is another great way to customize your writing experience.
Another thing I forgot to mention in the video is to try to keep your inks out of the light! UV rays can damage your fountain pen inks. I hope you enjoyed the video!

I just trying to make some kind of brown skin tone and I got a beautiful golden brow yellow . Just lovely . I used blue yellow and orange.

Thanks for the video! I have tried a little ink mixing before, but I would really like to try doing it some more. I don’t use red ink very much, so it might be a good idea to try making some purples which I would use more. One ink that I really like diluted is KWZ Grapefruit. To me it looks more like grapefruit when it is diluted.

Fountain Pen Insanity that’s a great idea! Ooh KWZ grapefruit is a gorgeous and vibrant color. I can see how it diluted would be gorgeous.

Those are great colors! I love autumn oak, it is one of my favorites, but alas, it is not waterproof at all. I'm thinking of adding noodler's black to it, or maybe an orange from them, or making my own autumn color from their brand because their brands are the most water resistant, I would use r&k, but their inks began eating my pen nibs. Thanks for the ideas!

So true! It will disappear off the page with a drop of water. That scares me sometimes. If you are looking for a water-resistant ink that is a color similar to this, I believe noodler's has an ink called golden brown. I have been eying it for a while. Although, it is more brown than this shade. They also have a shade called apache sunset which is brighter than autumn oak. I am not sure if that one is water-resistant though. A mix of noodler's apache sunset and golden brown should make a similar color to autumn oak!

The mix of the Turquoise + Red Dragon looks to me kinda like Diamine Eau De Nil. Maybe you could compare the two. And i love the sailor pen and the ink you made for it. I have been looking for a similar color but couldn't find 1 i liked. Now i can just make my own! 🤩
