Great info. I saw you being interviewed and you critiqued a few photos and it was VERY educational. It would be awesome if you could do regular videos of critiquing submitted photos maybe once every 1-3 months. Thank you

The 35mm focal length is my favourite focal length to shoot with.

Interesting lens. Now, that I'm semi-retired and don't have the same income as when I was buying Leica cameras and Leica glass I'm interested in lenses that are special but don't cost a fortune, so thanks for this video

I like focus breathing for manual focus lenses, helps me focus quick in low light. My old Nikkor Non-ai 50mm currently back focuses. Leica seem to know how not to go too sharp. Those little imperfections I think help the photo becoming more interesting. It's subtle enough you don't see it but it's there. I shoot Nikon mostly and those Z lenses are mostly too sharp like really really sharp, even the kit lenses. 3rd party lenses I think have a better balance for them.

Wonderful insight.. would love to see some full resolution sample photos in full frame mode with this lens to get a better feel of the frame coverage and performance. Thanks a lot for all you videos 💕💕💕

Even though I have no interest in owning a leica camera, I do find them interesting and the historical aspect you put into them.

Hi Thorsten, the 7Artisans 35mm F1.4 Wen is for it's price really better, than the TTArtisan 35mm F1.4, check the video from ErickPhoto. I bought this new for 169 EUR, one really can't complain about it. Of course, it's not a Leica Summilux M 35/1.4 ASPH. But i can't afford that. I am a 35mm shooter, not nifty-fifty. ;-)

Voigtländer lenses might be a great solution in case you dont have the 30000 for a lens.

Have you tried the 25mm F1 7Artisan cine lens? It probably won't cover the entire frame also, but you could crop to something like a 35mm field of view.
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard
Haven't tried the 25mm yet.

Thank you for the Video. I am currently in search for a big apature 50mm equivalent lens for my Leica TL2. The Summilux TL 35 1.4 is a bit expensive, but the 7Artisans could be a interesting alternative.
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard
The TL 35/1.4 is a perfect lens, optically. Maybe too precise, but really does a good job on both the TL2 and SL2.

I’m curious to ear what you think about the TTartisan 50mm 0,95
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard
I don't think much about it, I haven't tried it.

I’m surprised you would push lenses from a company that basically is doing Leica M knock-off’s. Intellectual and industrial theft is ugly.

Maybe Leica should reconsider researching and developing an item that they lack the ability to bring to market in any reasonable quantity.

Most likely those manufacturers are subsidized by the government to be able to sell at such ridiculously low prices.

All manufacturers, regardless of the country, are subsidized in some way or another. Some more than others.
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard
I don't like copies either. But you're off track here a bit. The 75/1.25 is not the same design or anything as Leica. Only thing they have in common is "75/1.25" designation. The size, optics, design, quality, etc is different. I you research you will know that Leica has patents on every little tiny bit they can patent (and it's quite a few things). So no, those do not copy, but they do supply Leica M mounts and L alliance mounts, Fuji mounts, Sony mounts and more with cheap lenses. Just as Voightlander and other have done for many years. Some are fun, many are just cheap lenses.
