The way you teach is terrific. The way you take the fear and anxiety out of learning new tools reminds me of my first college Architecture instructor who inspired me to become a designer! Thank you.
Haha now don’t get too attached! There is still much Procreate love going on around here, but I’m a big believer in having both tools in your toolbox, and knowing what you can do in each of them! But still, glad you like it
but thanks to you !!! I use ipad (my laptot is now very dusty) with morpholio trace to design from start to finish !! and umake app for 3d models that I use as a basis for perspectives
Awesome video Mr. Akers! I myself have been using Morpholio trace in my school projects for a 1.5 years now. It's really good to see it getting more mainstream appreciation because it is truly a gem! Comparisons aside, I feel that for the tools it provides, it is a perfect tool for architects, designers and students! And I'm sure better updated versions are coming soon!
IF ANYONE HAS A CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR HIS NEW COURSE, DO IT ! THIS GUY IS THE CUTTING EDGE OF ARCHITECTURAL RENDERING AND REALLY GOES INTO DEPTH WITH THIS NEWER TECHNOLOGY WHILE STILL RESPECTING TRADITIONAL RENDERING TECHNIQUES !!! NO ONE IS DOING THIS BUT HIM ! GREAT VIDEO JAMES !
Awesome. I’m no artist. Really an amateur woodworker trying to use digital solutions for my designs. By far, this is the best introduction for my use case. Thanks for the time, expertise, and education.
Great one! I did exactly why you said in the opening minute of the video, downloaded it….thought ‘what the…..’ then deleted it. Take two now! Many thanks for these videos 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻🇬🇧
No, no no YOU, kind person, are the awesome one! Love your comments, @woodwork and please keep them coming. If you haven't answered elsewhere already, can I ask how you're using iPad drawing in your personal or professional life?
@@iPadForArchitects I have been using Ipad since last four years. it's for personal not professional. i have doing drawing just to take a time off. How to make it professionally? Can you please guide us or me???
Just seeing this comment and you have made my day! Thanks so much for kind words. How are you using these apps in your professional life, if I may ask?
Not sure but mine does too! It may be processor intensive. I actually use one of those ice pads that you keep in the freezer (usually for sports injuries etc) under the iPad if and when I use it on warm days outside.
It’s kind of a sketch technique anyone can use rather than the very stiff straight line technique traditionally used by architects. Look at Lou Kahn’s and Corbusier’s sketch technique and you’ll see they are very loose. It frees up the imagination more than long straight lines. Thank you for your comment though. It’s great to hear from people with a range of opinions
At 0:51 - "3/1/21 Plan sketches while waiting for vaccine." Still waiting? There is still no vaccine (29 July 2022), just an emergency-use DNA therapy by injection. I hope you are well, friend.
