Prodigy over JayZ anyday. I'm a Brooklyn dude and always rocked with Mobb Deep. Prodigy is my favorite MC along with Nas and Cormega. Crazy because they all rep Queensbridge and I'm from Brownsville and Bushwick.

IMO If u compare Prodigy's Best Verse like something off Apostles Warning off the Hell On Earth album- u take that specific verse and compare it to Jays best verse- Prodigy Wins! By Far. Prodigy is a better rapper than Jay-Z especially in the 90s and right now. Ill give Jay the in between years from 02'-American Gangster. Maybe. Becuz the shit P was saying in the 90s with the pace & flow he rapped with, is the best rap shit ive ever heard in my entire life.

Also Drop a Gem On Em Prodigy verse destroyed anything Tupac ever said. That's real newyork gangsta rap and P is the king of that. He set trends do ur history. Mobb deep specifically P has created like 30 hip hop trends. Facts. I can also keep going so Can I Live huh.... Ok, wen Prodigy did "U can never feel my pain" & "Genesis" is better than anything Jay has ever put out. Ntm P's countless features on joints like "the war is on" and "i shot ya rmx". Like if u dont think Prodigy is better than Jay- your a Basic hiphop guy that doesn't rrally live the culture or understand anything. Fuckin mad rappers better than Jay.
Wow, ok you like that typical 90's flow structure. P was nice if that's your preference. However, Jay didn't write and his flow was unorthodox because he spit in a conversational style of rapping. He spit like he was engaging the listener in a casual conversation. His verses had all the nuances and cadences of a convo. He also added metaphors, double entendres, swag (for lack of a better word) and creativity.
+Nia R. So did Prodigy. he spit with a certain pace, going for 32 sometimes 41 bars on album songs. His verses were sharp, lethal, u can feel his pain & factual. Alot of jays shit he wasn't doing. Like Nas. Facts! Prodigy created too many trends in hip hop. Esp. wen he changed his style mid 00's where the reality & realness was implemented in his verses it actually felt like you could reachout and feel it. he's has prolific beefs with ppl Jay hid from & defended NY wen Pac and DPG was turnt up. Jay is a bitch. His wordplay is aight his Freestyles are better than P's no doubt but Prodigy don't freestyle and when he does he goes off. so its a battle of who u like the sound and everything. not just one specific part of rapping.
Apostle's warning DEFINITELY Pees illest verse. Dunn lingo to the fullest. He was the best emcee back in that period of the 90s. He killed everything. Idk wtf he is doing now. He has no flow.&his lyrical content is NADA.

Alot of ppl know about that beef but real mobb fans know jay had zero chance. they almost ended his career on the street and industry. had prodigy spoke and talked about his grandmothers dance school in Jamaica queens nobody wouldve cared about Jays summer jam move at all. wake up.
