Clapper, Brennan and Comey to name a few make millions doing TV spots on news networks and writing OP-EDS for newspapers because of their connections and clearance levels. This is one of those “perks” that started with the Clinton administration and needs to end, civilians shouldn’t have this level of access. I was on one of those lists for 8 years, and trust me, they will never tell you why you're on the list and how to get off the list. I paid for global entry, and I still got flagged every time I entered the USA. There's nothing worse than coming back home to your country and getting treated like a criminal, getting walked over to a special room for extra questioning and searches.

I have been on that list and I worked as a TSA officer for years. I didn’t feel like I had to look over my shoulder or any of that. It just shocked me being a homeland security employee, that I was on a watch list.
